He was on a couple other shows yesterday too. Probably moreso standard media rounds in this case

There's no way these coaches who received an NCAA bid are getting announced this week/within 24 hours. Think about it my friends...not going to happen. Brings us back to Brad, Donovan, Steve Kerr, Phil Jackson or John Wooden.

Makes me go hmmmm too. My first inclination was nothing burger. But the more you think about it and the whole picture… Ben is very strategic about career moves. He knows IU comes with a passionate fanbase. He went on the DD show after his name was mentioned by Goodman as impressive to Dolson. So he must have known that many IU fans would be watching. I’d assume his people wanted to get a sense for how IU fans perceive him so it could be one more data input for him to consider as he weighs IU vs Iowa lol… some will say that’s very conspiratorial but the amount of handling and preciousness that goes on around high profile leaders makes me think nothing is coincidental. But… maybe he just wanted to do some media before the tourney… lol

This is IU's primary NIL collective that works directly with Dolson. He can't pitch the job to a coach without being able to guarantee a substantial NIL pool.

They likely don't know who the coach is, but I'll bet they know more than we do. Them tweeting that this is all smoke lines up perfectly with what Osterman, Dolson's mouthpiece, tweeted a little while ago.

Or maybe Dakich just inquired about having him on since Goodman mentioned him in the search.  It's good press for McCollum regardless of whether or not he is a candidate as it makes him look wanted on the national scene.

If Dolson knew what he was looking for prior or around Woodson's firing then I just can't see it being DD. If it is so be it, but to me with all we have seen in this last month or so, just doesn't add up.

Yup! And there’s total plausible deniability because as you guys said… just a coach doing an interview on a sports show. That happens to have a heavily IU audience. Not saying it’s a big deal in anyway…
