I tend to agree.  Goodman mentioned a mystery candidate with the McCollum tweet as well.  It obviously means that DeVries isn’t the mystery candidate since he was mentioned in the newest tweet today.

Yup… If you want the limelight, IU is better. If you want to focus on basketball and doing your thing, Iowa is probably the choice for you. If you don’t want the limelight, you shouldn’t be at Indiana… but at a certain point, I think fans might want to consider why our support doesn’t seem to be a draw / positive for coaches… even when we can pay more and have more NIL. I don’t blame the fanbase for the past 25 years but at a certain point perception also becomes reality. We will learn a lot about how coaches think of IU based on who the hire is…

If i am devries no way I am taking the iu job. He doesn't have the overall fan support. A year similar to the one he just had will get him so much heat he will be ready to leave bloomington next march. No way I would want that.

- Basketball only has a small number of players (compared to football).  Overnight rebuild shouldn't be that hard in the NIL/portal era

Galen Clavio made a good point that nobody has entered the portal yet.

I was shocked we didn't see any names yesterday and am more surprised there haven't been any names today.

I don't think Dolson gave the players a name but one explanation is that he gave them enough to hold off until it's announced.
