With the portal opening the 24th, I think some teams are going to be seriously depleted, including IU if they don't make the tourney (which obviously I think they will).

It’s hard to say but last weekend he was higher on their list than people would think.  Beard was legit getting checked.  No more, no less.  It’ll either pick up the night after we lose or Monday if we don’t get in.  Or next weekend if a coach we are in is still in.  At this point, we have a good idea who we are targeting.  I have no clue who.  Until then, more speculation.  Soak it all in.  This is about to end and then we will have a long 4 year wait.

I've read that the top two non-tourney B1G teams are obligated to compete in the Crown, but I can't imagine that would still be the case with a coaching change. Players have to allowed to enter the portal and as someone noted, the Crown starts SUPER late...March 31.

I still think we end up in Dayton FWIW.

Weird to say this, but almost happy I could not watch that game today. At this point in the search, as long as it isn't Brownwell or Turgeion I am just gonna be happy it isn't Woody. Coaches aren't leaving good programs they have rolling for other programs. It is what it is. I just want a college basketball coach. Give me McCollum and lets win basketball games again. Or lets all meet back here in 2029. So tired of expecting losses.

You can't opt out of Crown.  Could be stuck with Woodson for a few more weeks since that tournament doesn't start until 3/31

Read some actual reporting on the crown yesterday and apparently no one knows. Like Villanova or somebody is trying to figure out if they’re contractually obligated to go even if they fire their coach and have no players lol
