Okay, so your source wasn't privy enough to get information to sign an NDA...that's all I need to know...

Unless that person has a lot of power.  On the BoT, Whitten or Dolson.  Everyone else would be forced to sign one.

Brownell would take the job in a heartbeat. Let's just hope it doesn't get to that

IF IU is truly at the McCollum/Brownell level, I still think Chris Collins would be the better gamble.  Collins learned under Coach K at duke and has risen Northwestern from obscurity to respectable; which is really saying something give it is . . . well, Northwestern basketball.  When looking back at the most successful teams Collins has built there he certainly has not had the benefit of top recruits.  His best teams were exactly that, TEAMS that share the ball and run the offense Chris asks of them.  I think Chris is a very good X and O guy and given the NIL at IU I think he could do very well and perhaps even surprisingly well.

100% agree with this Collins is being over looked because of his record. How many games do you think Woodson would of won with his roster. When has he had a loaded roster never. Collins can flat out coach.

I like Collins a lot.  Think he would kill it here.

I definitely understand this perspective, I guess my only continued hang up is that URI fans want him out too for doing basically the same thing he did at IU -- doesn't care about a program's history, doesn't seem to connect with players at all, and frankly doesn't win (he's like 16-31 in the A10 there). And this is with URI having one of the better NIL situations in the A10 after Dayton. They should def be more competitive than he has them, and while I think he's a great dude he just seems like the type of guy that college basketball just went by over the years both in P5 and top mid major.

URI has basketball "history"? Who knew? :D

I asked my SIL who is an attorney in town if they would use NDA's? She said for a deal this big it would be bad practice to not use them.

I asked what the penalty would be and she said termination and they usually put a percentage on it like 20% of the contract that they would try to litigate.

Have reviewed approx 1000 NDAs and have never once seen a liquidated damages clause like that.

The irony is you’re telling us everyone involved has an NDAs that would close millions to violate and that’s why there are no Stevens leaks but also insisting you somehow are in the know despite this.

Put two and two together everyone.
