He was on the staff for Saban that landed the Hightower/Jones class, he was also QB coach for NC State and recruited Philip Rivers. Ok fair enough I guess I was just looking at it from a winning at every stop perspective

Scotty R Posted March 12 Posted March 12 There is an article on ESPN.com but I could only read a little bit of it because it is behind a paywall. The main thing was where are all the big time coaches. It was talking about why Indiana other big time programs are having trouble getting top tier coaches to come to their schools. Also said if Texas and Villanova comes open they probably will have the same problem. woodenshoemanHoosierfan 1

Hornsby Posted March 12 Posted March 12 I think the McCollum love is more coping than anything. And the general thought of wanting him over brownellMaybe but some have convinced themselves he is not the next archie and winning at d2 is just winning period and will translate. There is a far better chance he fails than succeeds when you look at the history of these hires.Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk CSP and woodenshoemanHoosierfan 2

Fair point, they also hired a former player similar to Woodson at Indiana. Duke and UNC hired former players. I do think that's not discussed enough in terms of college basketball coaching changes nowadays. Folks are retiring and the new era is upon us. HoosierDevils and VFury 2

Not only because I want a coach in place, but I’m tired of laughing like a fourth grader and confused too often by references to BS and BM. Agreed. And the cryptic references are getting a little old. My mind is too addled to figure out the relevance of how a meme from an "insider" pertains to the status of the coaching search. At this point, I need an IU version of the Enigma machine...LOL Alistair Smash and Muskie plays the four 1 1
