Nova feels like a good fit though… Philly is a great area to recruit, still a good academic school but not crazy requirements. I’d love him there. And McCollum at IU.

This is hilarious. I cancelled my subscription a few weeks ago but it was easy to tell that people were getting very restless and borderline angry about Rabby’s lack of insight on this search.

I appreciate the things that various people bring to the discussion, but logically it never made sense to me that Stevens would take a step back and coach in college again. And I think we value the IU job more than others do. Money isn't everything. We can't necessarily buy our way into a successful big time coach. I think our best bet is to find and hire the next great coach from a lower level. Nobody wants to hear it but our basketball program is not that much better than our football program was a year ago. Look what the right coach did for football and basketball is an easier turn around. We should not be afraid to take a chance.

Scott Dolson + Turnkey had people thinking it was Jason Candle, Mike Hart, Paul Chryst, or Pat Fitzgerald. And then Curt Cignetti was hired.

Not sure if it can stay that well hidden with how many people are watching what IU basketball vs football is doing, but they were amazing at tricking people last time.

People had Cig on the list, just not as a favorite when guessing. But people tend to gravitate toward who/what they know best, and all the others were definitely more well known.

Oh I hadn’t considered that this really IS a cycle where Collins makes some sense with some of the biggest openings.

I don’t really see it with UVA but either Nova or IU make some sense for him IMO

Chris have you heard of message being sent around to IU alumni associate and mid level at AD to be around for spring break if possible? Heard it from a buddy but he's in UITS so not the comfy with it source wise.
