Ridiculous...Nobody should be playing in college over the age of 24. I'm sure not many 25/26 year olds left, but them sticking around hurts incoming freshmen.

That’s been my argument for a while. I don’t care how many years a guy plays but on his 25th birthday his eligibility is up. Even if he turns 25 mid-year, fine, play until mid-year. but then you’re done.

He didn't start college until later on. His freshman year at Duquesne was 2020.

Interesting read. Nice to see IU up there at the top. Interesting that they have Purdue at the next tier down. 1/2 of their money is probably going to Smith.

Let's see if this coach follows through. I highly doubt he will.

More schools are trying to protect themselves with strict liability in these NIL deals. For example, there's another high-major player who signed a substantial NIL contract near the end of the season but subsequently went into the portal anyway, seeking an even bigger deal. One of his coaches told me they were bracing for this, even though pen was put to paper weeks ago. According to this coach, this player now owes the school "the entirety of a contract he hasn't received a dime of yet."

"They think we are bluffing," the coach said. "We are 100% holding them to the contract."

Some big new ones.

Rashool Diggins, U Mass, 6'2" guard, 16.8 pts, 2.8 reb, 2.7 ast, 37/31/84.

Interesting:  Jayden Stone, West Virginia.  6'4" guard.  Redshirted last season at West Virginia.  Previous season (23-24) at Detroit Mercy where he averaged 20.8 pts, 5.6 reb, and 2.7 assists.  Shot 42/31/79.

P.J. Haggerty, Memphis.  6'3" guard.  21.7 pts, 5.8 reb, 3.7 ast.  Shot 48/36/82.  Second team All-America, two years of eligibility.

3 big names into the portal - Haggerty and Dainja from Memphis and Stojakovic from Cal.

Don’t know who’ll do it, but someone is gonna pay big for Stojakovic, maybe UK, and then figure out he can’t defend a lick.

But open it back up if over 40. Then if some of these schools that have a big turnover we are here to help.

For the record, I might be way over 40. Might.

B.J. Freeman, Arizona State.  6'6" guard.  Was removed late in the season from Arizona State's team for 'conduct detrimental to the team'.  Was the Sun Devils leading scorer prior to being removed.  13.7 points, 3.9 reb, 2.6 ast.  Shot 42/36/75.  The year prior he was at Milwuakee and averaged 21.1 points.

He seems to be a bit immature, and had a couple of incidents similar to what Xavier Johnson pulled... not sure that's a thread that we need to pull on...

Dainja shouldn’t have any eligibility left.

He could have one year remaining. He’s looking for a waiver/redshirt for his year at Baylor (3 games).

According to his Instagram, Carlyle is down to McNeese, FAU and UAB. Pretty significant drop from the B1G and former Pac-12.

I check Twitter and Instagram every now and then on Bryson Tucker -- I haven't seen one word about his recruitment since he announced for the portal. Find that kinda interesting.

I'm sure there's some news out there. I just haven't seen anything.
