Purely FWIW -

Miami’s Jalen Blackmon has entered the transfer portal. The 6’2” guard appeared in 20 games, averaging 6.9 PPG, 1.2 RPG, and 1.4 APG per game. Blackmon averaged 21.3 PPG, and shot 38% from 3 with Stetson in 2023-24.

Probably already showing signs of male pattern baldness..

I hope we're done with this 5 or even 6 years of eligibility baloney.  "Five years to play four" is enough.

I think the tsunami of portal entries is about to hit.

College sports will be measurable younger this coming fall, but I can't understand how he would get an extra year.

Galloway, Leals of the world are gone/no covid years left.

I read the replies and would some college really give Smith 5 mil???

I don't know but they've reportedly given so-so players $2M (Great Osobor) so maybe a first team AA PG is worth $5.

Hunter Dickinson got and Coleman Hawkins got like 2mil... 5mil? Probably not but for the best point guard in the country? I'm sure it's 3+.

Smith would be crazy not to take the strong a$$ offer and if Purdue really loves him then they must let him go. LOL

If you truly love someone, you can let them go. #thoughtful #soulmate #truelove

I know Im supposed to hate purdue but Id kind of hate if he left for another school. NBA sure but kinda sucks for college basketball that Purdue was Smith's first and only power conference offer and he'd leave them as a senior after all the development there. Idk maybe unpopular opinion

Nah, I'm here for him leaving solely for the tears of despair that will flow from their fans.

With the rev share changes isn’t the expectation that players are making even more money moving forward? I thought someone reported Cupps was getting offered $600k as an example.

If that were true then yeah, I could see Smith getting offered $5m.

IU isn't quite the Dodgers/Yankees NIL budget team, but at least we are probably the Red Sox/Braves NIL budget team.

Purdue is quite as bad an Oakland NIL budget team, but they are probably Pittsburgh or Kansas City.

And that's a problem for them. They may be able to retain Simth and Kaufman-Renn, but in doing so they are going to have very little left for Heide, Colvin, Cox, and Harris.
