A blank check for Booker? lol

On second thought, wasting a ton of money on a player like that would be a good way to ensure Woodson gets canned after (or during) next season.

6’11 former 5* from Indianapolis? Yes blank check - he’s not going anywhere else because I want him on my roster

What about some of these Louisville players who may transfer when Kenny Payne joins us as an assistant?

Sophomore Guard - Skyy Clark (6'3" 205 lbs) 13.2 ppg/3.1 rpg/3.0 apg and 35.3% from 3

Junior Forward - Brandon Huntley-Hatfield (6'10" 245 lbs) 12.9 ppg/8.4 rpg/1.0 apg and (9/21 from 3's)

Sophomore Guard - Mike Games (6'5" 200 lbs) 12.6 ppg/5.0 rpg/1.5 apg and 34.8% from 3

Skyy Clark if Small and Mack turn us down

Just as an FYI, I post about pretty much every decent player in the portal.  It won't mean I think they are an IU fit.

Totally agree!  Basically all guards are an upgrade from what we had this year.....

If Storr leaves and doesn’t end up in Champaign I’ll be floored. A natural fill-in for TSJ (different games, but the production is similar enough) an hour from his hometown, but he’ll have some gigantic offers.

He’s only about 1:15 from home now. I’d hope UW could pony up the money but maybe not. I’d rather have a good point guard for IU . Storr isn’t my favorite player even though he’s very talented

Kankakee to Madison is like 3+ hours on a good day. Going north of Chicago from down there is hellacious. Neither is far though. Champaign to Kankakee is just as cake of a drive as you can do.

Thought I read he was a rockford guy?

Well, now that I check again I see both. Hometown of Rockford, but his first high school was Kankakee before he went the prep route. Not sure how that works because those two places aren’t even kinda close.

Edit: here’s the timeline. What a strange journey.

Malik Mack (Harvard) has made Trilly’s portal watch list.

Since we are hiring a GM I’ll go ahead and shoot my shot for the gig:

Forcefully removed from team (in order): Gunn, Banks

Offers out today. BC = Blank Check:

Malik Mack (BC) https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/5175952/malik-mack

Javon Small (BC) https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4781746/javon-small

Jalen Blackmon https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/gamelog/_/id/4683853/jalen-blackmon

Bruce Thornton (BC) https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/5105837/bruce-thornton

Xavier Booker (BC) https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4711304/xavier-booker

Dylan Caldwell https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/gamelog/_/id/4433174/dylan-cardwell

Malik Dia  https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4712862/malik-dia

If AJ Storr enters the portal a check will be sent unfilled and signed. A picture of a car lot will be included and 50 page packet of businesses I will pair him with the moment he signs

Watched Jalen Blackman in his tournament championship game the other day and he looked really good.

The decisions that some programs make can be so baffling. I don't understand how you fire Chris Holtmann with a month left of the season only to replace him with someone on his own staff.

Then again I don't get how you can pay a huge buyout to get rid of Archie Miller only to replace him with Mike Woodson.

Here's hoping that the Michigan AD tries to outthink the room too.

Not sure what you are trying to get at with the “fire Holtmann with a month left only to replace him with someone on his staff.”  If they know they are going to fire him, best do it army to get a jump on your search.  And what do you want to do to replace him, someone not on staff?

We've already purchased Thornton, right.  He can't renege on our agreement, can he?

I haven’t seen that anywhere. Who said that?
