LOL.

تويتر \ Jeff Goodman على تويتر: "Michigan. NIT."

I've grown to like Goodman (he's awesome on F68..has been pro IU since his daughter goes here) but man was he and many others wrong. Woodson has improved everything since he arrived..why this next year is huge. Can't take a step back. Doesn't look like that'll happen.

I know some (maybe the older crowd, sorry not that young myself haha) don’t buy into the whole social media and instagram thing but there is a pattern there on instagram.

Ware was following a few guys like X and Trey but then followed a lot more (managers etc) and then committed.

Ledlum was following a few but in last hour just added a ton more IU guys like Hulls, more players etc. he is going to commit soon. No other players or other teams being added.

Knecht just started following X, Cupps and Trey but also a couple Oregon guys. Have to assume this at least means a visit is coming.

I still say Deloach is more than 80% based on his social media. Will see if he backs away but he has known about Ware and started following him a few days ago.

Take it for what’s it’s worth. Not much haha

Honestly it gives you a good idea. As long as they aren't following guys from other schools.

Texas guard in portal. Former 5 star

Certainly played well enough that someone will look to bring him in and start him.  In Texas' rotation, averaged 4.6 ppg in 11 mpg.  Shot 41/33/79.  The 41% number is higher than it looks because over half of his shots were threes.  Shot 51% inside the arc.

I'm ecstatic about adding Ware. This height and length is something I haven't seen on an Indiana team in my time following the program, I don't think (loosely in the DJ White era and more closely in the Zeller/Dipo era).

  1. XJ - 6'3
  2. TG - 6'4
  3. Ledlum - 6'6
  4. Reneau - 6'9
  5. Ware - 7'

Could add Knecht and Banks and CJ Gunn, three more 6'6 guys.

If we play the perimeter-centric offense many anticipate Woody prefers next season, I wouldn't be surprised if our rebounding is actually improved a bit. More threes/perimeter shots could lead to longer rebounds and if we're active without the ball could see us getting our fair share of second chance opportunities. I think/hope Reneau takes a big jump next year on his rebounding numbers.

I think people should put away their expectations of a perimeter oriented 4-out offense.

With that said, if Ware works out and Reneau improves (which I expect), that is a pretty talented front court.

I really don't think those expectations need to be put to bed. Ware is a modern big, not a post-up inside big. He's going to be out on the perimeter in the PnR game opening space for our ball handlers to get to the rim.

His inside game is basically catching lobs off the PnR and crashing the boards for putbacks off of missed layups, etc.

And I believe Malik will make great strides in expanding his game, as well.

TJD did that this year (and much more). One of the problems was Race’s positioning. He was the second guy in the post.

Where’s Reaneau —and more importantly his defender—going to be during all this?

We did some with TJD, but once XJ went down we largely ran the offense through the post. We did PnR heavy when JHS had a clear mismatch (ie Purdue with Edey playing drop coverage).

With TJD and Race both of their best attributes was posting up. Ware has almost no post-game at all, that's not his strength.

Ware also can shoot a bit and I think Reneau can develop that too. Reneau hit some perimeter shots early in the season.

Beyond that, I'm not 100% convinced they both start. Not saying they won't both start, I just think there's a chance they don't both start.

With Ware, I'd envision his game his PnR, catching lobs and almost crashing the boards from the perimeter after setting screens. I don't really see him in the paint that often, I see him way more active in terms of movement in the halfcourt compared to TJD.
