Wouldn’t be mad about . Pitt guards always seem to end up at IU haha

It’s a huge no thanks from me.  He was one of the reasons I thought UK might struggle this year. I don’t believe he’s a team first guy,  I also don’t think he shots it well enough.  I’d prefer someone else spend big for him.

I mean I was really just making a joke about how Pitt guys always seem to end up at IU .

I don’t really pretend to know anything about a 20 year old kid I’ve never even seen play before. Personally I’m not really getting that excited about anyone till they putting wins on the court .

watching the tournament does make me realize how important elite PG play is

No doubt.  We haven’t had the level of PG needed since Yogi.  And we wonder why we’ve been missing tournaments left and right.  Don’t even get me started on our choices last season.

Coaching too.

and Sadly it appears McCollum is the Cignetti of basketball coaching.  1 great player, 1 really good player and they are on the verge of the final 4.  Really rivals our football story.

Some of us called McCollum the Cignetti of college basketball during coach search season!  Nope can't have 2 nice things!

I am still giving DDV this up coming season to show something...anything!

Ben looks to have "IT" though!

I get your point, but this is shortchanging what IU has accomplished.

What IUFB did in CFB is substantially more difficult and significant than a CBB tourney run.  Iowa has a long way to go to rival our football story.  CBB is so much smaller than CFB it's not really possible.

This is Ben M's first year at Iowa...Let's see what he does next year after this year is over.

I would say what he did this year so far borders what Cig did first year in FB!

Yea, let's see if Iowa goes undefeated and wins it all.

CBB is a sideshow compared to CFB.  You really can't compare them.  Some of our fans don't appreciate what happened in football.

I do, I just also think Iowa basketball getting to the Elite 8 is something special.  Yes, they are not even close to the same thing.

This is a basketball school and most fans probably "enjoyed" the football run, but really want to see the basketball team be dominant like the FB team!

IU used to be a basketball school. Now we’re firmly a football school. The number of fans who would trade a football NC for a basketball one is very very low, imo. College football is so much more significant of a sport, and we’re sitting at the very top of it.

I bet IU is one of the only places that this statement is false!  Why I believe we are still a blue blood in basketball.  With UNC, Duke, MSU, Kentucky, and Louisville having the same thoughts.

Me and my Hoosier fam would rather have a bball title.

Super happy for the football championship, but we were raised on IUBB and are bigger bball fans.
