You have trustees, you have a president, you have other boards that you need to speak to. Attorney's probably in there also. Gotta go through the protocols and proper channels.

So Dolson is a puppet then?  Do ADs nationwide have as much red tape to make a decision or just here in Bloomington?

Are we talking the decision won’t be made on his own as far as who will be Archie’s replacement, or Archie even being let go to begin with?

Both but I think there is a consensus on who the first call should be made to.

Is it like this every time we replace a coach in any sport, or just men's basketball?

I don't know how it works at other places, I've only ever been at IU

Now that is a good question. I really don't know but If I was to guess I would say only in football and basketball.

Yes. Every school is like this.

I'm starting to prepare myself for the dreaded vote of confidence. I don't think that our administration cares enough to pony up and make a basketball school move. They're fine with having a mediocre at best program that makes the school a profit. Wins and losses are a secondary concern. Prove me wrong, IU. Prove me wrong. I'm begging you.

I fear that this is where it's heading as well.

Makes sense. Hopefully they give him some autonomy on who he hires, if he's given the ok to make the move.
