They already have 7'2" Will Berg as a RS freshman, 7'4" Zach Edey can technically return another year if he wants, and Raleigh Burgess who is listed as tall as 6'11" is already committed in the same class as this 7'3" kid who is now on board. I bet Kannon Catchings is counting down the days to leave Overtime Elite where he plays with other prized recruits and future pros to go to Purdue and play with an entire collection of giants clogging space. realTomCrean Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Thinking a year ahead about recruiting. If Mgbako, Reneau both come back + Mcneeley I can’t see a world where Banks doesn’t hit the portal. I hope it doesn’t happen, he will be a top level player as an upperclassmen. Only hope is trusting Coach Woodson’s words, “get old and stay old” ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 9, 2023 Author Posted December 9, 2023 Per Raby, Woody is at Overtime Elite watching a number of IU targets: Mikel Brown, Daquan Davis, Bryson Tiller, Tyler Jackson all with IU offers and and unknown players he may be watching as well. WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 We should consider Jalen Blackmon. Kid can flat out shoot the ball. 46% from 3 on HIGH volume and 96% from FT. 23.3 PPG. I know the athelticism and maybe defense is a minus but man, we gotta at least consider him. ALASKA HOOSIER and sirhoosierlot 2 Quote

Defense can be taught and encouraged, to a degree. He’s listed at 6’3”. Great family. Although, im not sure they care much for Crean. Interesting prospect in my opinion. He's already transferred once though having started at Grand Canyon so that could come into play. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 23, 2024 Author Posted January 23, 2024 On his radio show tonight Woody said he would be on the road recruiting tomorrow and then specifically said it would be for the '24 class. I've not heard any new '24 names mentioned in the last few weeks so I'm thinking it's Daquan Davis. Purely a guess on my part. Demo, Muskie for three and Chris007 3 Quote

Imagine you’re right since Davis has said he’s ready to start setting visits. Montverde is home now for a while and don’t play again until, I believe, Thursday. So there may be a Queen checkin as well. lillurk and Class of '66 Old Fart 2 Quote

If indeed the visit is to watch Daquan Davis, would this be Woody's first time of personally watching or did he watch an OTE game earlier and it wasn't one of Davis' better games? lillurk 1 Quote

We need to find a PG or hope Cupps back a huge jump before next year. We have to go out a get another knock down shoot to play at the 2 lillurk 1 Quote
