Missing Hunter, Rob, Davis, and Thompson is huge. This team is a shell of what it could have been due to injuries. If we’re healthier with Rob and Davis back, I think we beat UM at home.

I’ll be good with a 5/6 seed this year considering the injuries.

Five or six seed with everyone healthy except Hunter and Thompson by tourney time?

I'd sign for that.

I know there’s been some talk about how negative and unbearable the game threads have been. My buddy invited me to an IUBB Facebook group and my lord is it absolutely horrible.

Facebook as a whole is pretty terrible, so that's no surprise to me lol.

Yep, that’s my thinking. If we had Hunter/Race in the rotation I think we’d be top 15.

Does anyone know thru a credible source if there remains a chance that  Thompson or Hunter would be available by the third week of February?

I don't ever post on it, and about to leave the group it's so bad. But, Rob's dad is pretty active on it, which is why I've stayed.

I think it’s called something like “the era of Archie” lol

Hahaha, I found it. You weren't kidding. Came across this gem from a highly educated fan: "If u are a true fan, one would think positive. As far as a few of you wanting to stir the pot, start a new group, I'm a fan but just want to bash IU."

Hoosier Nation Fan Page is another one. You can't post anything there without someone jumping all over you for one reason or other. I could go there and post "IU ranked 22nd this week" and I'd get a handful of replies like "Who cares about rankings it's not where you start it's where you finish rankings aren't important no one cares about them rabble rabble rabble."

You also aren't allowed to post that Romeo will be gone after this season, or that Archie needs to find out why this team is always playing from behind, and don't you dare, DARE question IU's concussion protocol, because it's IU and there's no way they'd ever make a mistake with anything.

Dakich with a veiled shot at Justin Smith and his dad while on the MSU-Purdue mike:

To paraphrase - “When Izzo took Cassius Winston to task after he played badly, Winston didn’t pout or tweet or run to his family, he went and played much harder and better.”

Dakich doesn't know that. It could be that Winston did run to his family -- but nobody in his family tweeted about it. I'd be willing to bet lots of players have discussions with their families about their basketball experiences, and they're probably all not positive. It's just that most families don't go public with it. ... I know if I were a college hoops player and called home to discuss and perhaps complain about my treatment from the coach, my mom would've probably said the coach needed to treat me better. But my dad? To quote John Mellencamp, he would've said "Suck it up and tough it out and best the best you can."
