MoyeNeeded Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 I'm thinking that Al could surprise this coming season. If he can get a few shots to go down. His hustle and heart plus another year in the system will pay dividends. GloryDays 1 Quote
The Baby Bull Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 I’m in total agreement about Al. Plus he can and does play hard on defense. MoyeNeeded and GloryDays 2 Quote

Brass Cannon Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Smith oozes with potential like most Recruits of the before Archie time. If he is draft ready and Miller is correct about Green then we will win the Big Ten. Quote
NRT137 Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 He has a 48 inch vertical yet couldn’t even dunk it in last year’s Hoosier hysteria dunk contest lolSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

Yeah he makes our starting five so much better if he has even slightly improved as a player from the last ten games. Consistency will be key for him.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Stromboli Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Looks like Al played in a high level pickup game in Atlanta recently. He looks fine, maybe a little more tenacious than we've seen. Al appears in the very beginning (like 10 seconds), then his game starts at 9:20-14:30, and then again at 16:45-18:00. The last part is a dunk contest, Al doesn't attempt any. Quote

He lacks elite ball handling skills and an explosive first step. Love his quick hands though. Quote
BtownStrength Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 Who do we think is primed for breakout year/ most improved player for the upcoming season? I know it's all speculation at this point but we have heard great things about improvements from Green and Smith. Anything on Clifton Moore? Haven't heard much of anything on his progress. Quote

Haven't heard anything but he does look like he's added some mass since last year, which should help his game. Quote

If he can give us serviceable minutes this year I will be impressed. He has the physical tools so hopefully his court awareness takes a major leap forward. We can definitely use his size. I’m rooting for him. BtownStrength 1 Quote
