They were talking like we we were going to be the spoilers in the B1G tourney. I’ll take it. Sounds like the B1G needs us to stop winning. Don’t care. If you can’t beat us, you never belonged anyway. Blow it up Hoosiers!

I really, really really, really hope Morgan is back next year.

On a side note.....we need to have Morgan next year.

PS. did I mention we need Morgan next year?

Well put

So let's say we win our last 3 games...... 18-12, 11-7 in conference. What does this team have to do to make the tourney?

Man I love Archie and what he is doing

Can’t lose by 30 to FW and Ind St. Can’t lose to a Wisky team playing 3rd string HS players. Can’t lose to a team that went winless in the B1G. We just don’t have wins on our resume, large enough to make up for what are really monumental losses.

Not the prettiest win but it was a win. I hate the Big Ten. These officials.. two goaltending calls missed. If they would have cleaned the game up in the first half we wouldn't have watched a free throw shooting contest the last 8 minutes.

Loved seeing Durham step up when Green didn't have it. Smith made some nice plays but still needs to get stronger. Morgan..

We gave into Ill's pressure. A strong pg leader will be nice.

I have full faith Newkirk would fail a true/false test on basketball decisions. Glad he made a few FTs and layups though.

I turned it off 5 min. into the 2nd half because I had to get up at 4:00 this morning (no, we old farts don't sleep in until 10:00 a.m. every day) and went back and read all the posts from page 16 forward.  Wow, I almost thought we'd lost.  Yeah, it sounded very ugly from most everyone's comments but here's my take looking solely at the box score.

Ugly because the teams attempted a total of 49 free throws and there was no game flow.  That's on the officials - again.

We shot 53% from the field and held Illinois to 41%.

We shot 43% on 3's (season high?); Illinois 21%.

We hit 70% of our FT's which has to be one of our better nights.

We outrebounded them 34-23.

We had 14 assists on 20 made shots.

We got 38 bench points in a game we needed our bench to step up.  Yeah, Josh had 3 TO's but he had 11 pts. on 4-6 shooting; 3 assts. and a steal in 21 min.  And Al, who's had trouble seeing much playing time lately was ready when his number was called with 14 pts. on 5-6 shooting.  Smith gave us 13 pts. on 5-6 shooting and 3 reb. in just 13 min.  That's really good support.

Big negative was our 18 TO's. especially 6 from Rob and 4 from Green.

Had I not watched as much of the game as I did and not read many of the previous posts and looked solely at the stats, I'd say we played a reasonably good game.

On to Eye-O-A and the Franimal.  Keep the win streak rolling.
