MSU....Heat on Izzo?

Recommended Posts

Clearly institutional  collusion, not lack of institutional control! They fire/sacrifice president and bring in greasy politician to lead damage control. Embarrassing. Betting Izzo along with MSU as a University walks away clean. Look at PSU and UNC. This stuff is egregious! Those who lawyer up win and pay no penalty.  Lives were impacted here. Makes me question commitment to continuing to watch and support college athletics.

People's lives? It's all about the money and has been for quite some time.

It's absolutely disgusting that institutions of "higher education" go so far to project an imagine of "doing things the right way."

The NCAA has known about any number of wrongdoings by universities for years. They choose to keep their mouths shut and pockets loaded. Why should/would universities handle things differently when the very institution that governs them chooses to cover things up?

I also expect Izzo and MSU to walk away clean.

Yes, it appears to be a new filing and the image and reputation of MSU and Izzo continue to take a hit and the stories aren't going to go away quickly especially if additional women come forward as did the female gymnasts.  If these new allegations have any genuine merit, and allegations are all they are at this point, it's hard to imagine that Izzo survives for more than the '18-'19 season.

I'm not sure if this has been posted here previously or not but didn't see it.  This is a new one, correct?  I can't keep up with all of the allegations.

I couldn't even read the whole thing, it just makes me sick. They should be cleaning house, from top to bottom. I hope Izzo goes down in a ball of flames.

I'm sorry but this is BS if this is all true and they hid it.. he needs to be gone. Very disappointing too. I thought Michigan State Basketball was one of the better programs.

Did you really? Red flags have been flying around Izzo for a while. The sexual harassment stuff though is on a level barely anyone could fathom. But the guys MSU have recruited over the years lack severely in ethics and morals.

I did. I guess I never dug deep enough. The media has kept them clean for the most part. I always felt that Izzo was a really standup guy too.

Should IU fans continue to step back and be quiet if/when Izzo is in Assembly Hall this coming year?

Mixed feelings here, as fan base should maintain respectability, but if the heat here slips away  on him and the program w/out consequence as seems to be common, then he certainly deserves the embers to be stoked.

Think it could be addressed in a tasteful way.

Glad to help out... InArchWeTrust posted a link to a tweet from reporter David Jesse that included the link... but didn't the link itself posted. Just doing my part to spread the truth.

I can't begin to describe how, as a father of two girls and grandfather of four, how disgusted I am from reading this. How can that many young men, football and basketball, be that entitled and disrespectful? What can they possibly be thinking? And finally, why are they not in jail? I usually preface this by "if the allegations are true" but so much has come out that something is seriously wrong in East Lansing.
