Exactly. Why does it take a raging pedophile to bring this to light (or make it matter). It was reported and then just kinda went away and I was shocked that nothing was done by the University. And the media just seemed to turn it's back on it and it was back to praising Izzo and how great he is in March. No wonder it's such a wide spread issue. Another case of don't mess with the bottom line... The media is cracking me up with all this shock of what happen back in 2010. Has anyone posted the Appling/Payne police report? I remember we had it a HSN but it was difficult to find. Anyways, I remember a bunch of us being literally dumbfounded at how they got away with this- at every level. It's pretty damning, I'll look for it if not posted already.

I found the video of Payne being interrogated  particularly shocking.  Made my skin crawl.  And, I find it difficult to believe MSU didn't see that in 2010.  Shame on the whole damn bunch.

Idk man, he definitely doesn’t want to commit to anything one way or another for sure. How does he not know why Travis left? I think that question about having any regrets was more telling to me. He side stepped that as well, which probably means yes he does have some regrets???

Yeah, more to my point. He looked bad in that presser. It was more than just reading the company line. I'm not convinced he gets let go, but he sure as heck deserves to be let go.

So, unfortunately, I believe the report was published on Michigan Messenger which is now a 404. The full thing is about 5 pages long but, here is an excerpt from a source below:

Once in the room, the three started playing basketball using a mini-hoop. When the victim missed a basket, one of the men told her she had to remove an article of clothing. The victim agreed and removed her t-shirt because she had a tank top on underneath.  At this point, the victim says, the players began to deliberately miss baskets until they were stripped “completely naked.” One of the men allegedly blocked the doorway to the room, while the other “cornered” the victim in the room.  “[The victim] explained to [detectives] that the body language of [the players] suggested she was not free to leave,” the report says. “[Redacted] was blocking any escape path to the exit of the dorm room. [The victim] stated that after [redacted] approached the door he turned the lights in the room off and the room went completely dark. At this point, the sexual assault began.  The victim told police the players penetrated her in various positions. The victim told detectives the players allegedly asked her “how does that feel?” and “how do you want it?” The victim says she told the players she didn’t want it and gave “other indicators she was not a willing participant.”  The victim told police that the players pinned her down, but at one point she freed her arms momentarily and struck one of the players in the face. The player was on top of her and in response to her hitting him, he allegedly said, “Don’t. Just relax. C’mon,” as he continued to assault her, the report says.

Their credit rating might change due to the case which would be huge. Just discussed it on ESPN. That might be more damning than anything they are doing. The guy they brought in, the ex politician is an insider. They have no plans to change.

Yup, MSU shouldn’t even be able to have an athletics department after this. Sexual Assuakt has been pushed to the front of the line after the #metoo movement started. I would not want to be an official at MSU. The NCAA was laughing all the way to the bank while this was happening.

I hate the name of this thread. Heat on Izzo? Well I sure as hell hope so. There should be heat on every single member of both, the basketball and football staff in East Lansing. The University should be harshly punished, but we all know they won't be. Good guy Izzo will probably be on the sidelines again next year, even though he should have been forced to resign after it was found he was involved, along with Dantonio.

what protocol would allow this . The apparent protocol hasn't saved anyone so far at MSU .
