coonhounds Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 FWIW, I've been beating this drum of paid recruits for a long, long time and many people on here have given me crap for it over the years. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBannersNot me. I want it cleaned up always respected iu when knight was here for playing fair or so i believe. I want us to run a clean program and win the right way. If crean cheated i hate him and will be devastated cause we suckedSent from my SM-G920V using BtownBanners mobile app IUBBFan1970 and Tom White 2 Quote
coonhounds Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Hard to imagine we're not implicated in some way.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appWhy? Sent from my SM-G920V using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

We tear our program down because our coach was addicted to his cell phone while there are programs winning banners with kids who didn't even graduate from high school. cbp4iu Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 I hope the allegations hit next week. That way if Iu is involved they can just accept no postseason play for this season. Also if IU is involved I would hope ESPN would have Tom Crean on the set when they discuss the schools involved. Btownclouds, HoosierAloha and Iugradman 3 Quote

Sitting under protective order right now are the fruits of 330 days of monitoring activity by the feds, which one assistant US Attorney noted Thursday was “a voluminous amount of material.” That includes wiretaps from 4,000 intercepted calls and thousands of documents and bank records obtained from raids and confiscated computers, including those from notorious NBA agent Andy Miller. “This goes a lot deeper in college basketball than four corrupt assistant coaches,” said a source who has been briefed on the details of the case. “When this all comes out, Hall of Fame coaches should be scared, lottery picks won’t be eligible to play and almost half of the 16 teams the NCAA showed on its initial NCAA tournament show this weekend should worry about their appearance being vacated.” Ho. AKHoosier Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 I get the overwhelming feeling that Coach K is going to come down hard. We'll learn the real reason top one-and-done guys started rolling in to Durham, and it wasn't because Duke became "cool again." ElectricBoogaloo and Iugradman 2 Quote

Nobody under crean should have gotten a dime besides vic and he didn't cause he blossomed later on. Not one guy should have been paid. I am drinking tonight so sorry if i am being harsh but if we paid anybody under crean i am mad. coonhounds Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Crean didn’t land the big five stars which makes me think he wasn’t involved in anything shady. Preston, Goodluck, Jaren Jackson, Brian Bowen, Wilkes, Lyles, etc. went elsewhere. As far as Vonleh is concerned, IU recruited him hard. His commitment was brought about through diligent effort. Also another poster showed all our nba guys signed different shoe deals than adidas. We were clean under crean. That was all i respect him for hopefully that is not taken awaySent from my SM-G920V using BtownBanners mobile app IUBBFan1970 and Iugradman 2 Quote

Chuck Martin was the lead recruiter for John Calipari and recruited Derrick Rose. Kenny Johnson coached at University-6. Nervous, man. Tom White and MikeRoberts 2 Quote
Capt. Crimson Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Does anyone remember when Crean alluded to all of this? What all happened in the behind the scenes that he wouldn't take part in. Was it post game when we lost to Georgia Tech? I'm having trouble finding it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners theriverpilot, Btownclouds and Hutch89 2 1 Quote

JSHoosier Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 A part of me wonders how much longer the NCAA as we know it can really last, after this debacle and getting caught up in the Nassar/MSU mess. They've proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they're either extremely corrupt or laughably incompetent, granted pretty well everyone already knew that. pumpfake and Iugradman 2 Quote
Ajwhitis Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 I also remember a few instances in which players were held out during NCAA investigations into the program, seemed as if Crean took these things very seriously. Remember Parea and Hollowell being two specific instances in which they were held out of games, and for considerable amounts of time. Iugradman 1 Quote
