WayneFleekHoosier Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 I agree. He was just asked to do too much. He's not a starting point guard talent imo but I think he would do well as a backup playing 18-20 minutes a night. He was getting better late in the season and I think he'll be a valuable piece for us next year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appThis was Pitts decision and ultimately why he left. Cheaney40 Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 I've seen good sources on both sides. Overall, seems alumni wanted him and BOT didn't. Not sure where Glass stood. I personally think Glass was thinking Alford at the press conference. Hence the double check plus stuff and Dakich reaction. I think the BOT and fan reaction put that plan on hold. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBannersI know a guy who works with a former teammate of Alford who claimed to be in contact with #12 in the past week and "Glass had already handed him the offer" .... if true, then I'm a firm believer in prayer because God surely answered mine! I will say, I'm curious to see what Miller can do with Josh this summer. Miller has a talented squad coming into his 1st year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Yes he does and since IU has a coach now, IU will compete for the B1G championship next season Quote

I would love to know his overall record in games decided by 3 or less points. Where is our stats guru? This year IU was at -.09, 341st overall. That means based on our AdjO/AdjD rankings, we should have been 21-13 instead of 18-16. cthomas, Class of '66 Old Fart, Trish and 2 others 5 Quote

woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 After reading reactions from around the college basketball landscape, the only people I see that don't think this is a very good to great hire are those IU fans who were so sure it was going to be Donavon or those that wanted Alford because he is an IU guy.Sent from my SM-T377V using Tapatalk thebigweave, Me So Hornsby, Bowhunter and 4 others 7 Quote

Those extra wins puts us in the dance but keeps us Crean. A top performing coach stats should be much higher. Quote
