The timing just doesn't make sense... what has changed in the last day, besides 4 NCAA coaches now being out of the tournament? The only players for whom anything has changed are Painter, Huggy, Beilein and Sean Miller.

Nothing has changed for Alford. Nothing has changed for Donovan. Nothing has changed for Bennett, Archie, Marshall or Mike Whited. So, if Sean is the guy, then maybe there's something to talk about... but none of the rumors are about him.

Donovan is NOT in Btown today... none of it adds up...

There's nothing to see here (yet). Time to just chill and wait this out.

Search firms provide a degree of separation.  I don't see the negotiations happening in Bloomington.  If they do, it means he's not negotiating with Glass directly.  Communicating directly with Glass means it's beyond negotiating and a contract is ready.

 

If Donovan was really in Bloomington there would've been photographic proof by now,

False Alarm is what a rational person would say. However, we are not rational right now.  Like a vagrant collecting cans, we're looking everywhere and we're too desperate to think straight.

It is March Madness after all - gotta go nutty one way or another.  However, and take it however you desire, Hickory has never been one to troll.  If anything he's been cynical about other's claiming BD rumors.  That's why it's an interesting development.  Of course he didn't indicate what the significance of that plane is/was.

I'm not believing it until there's proof he is in town, but nothing you mentioned has anything to do with Donovan.  The only timing he needs is a break in his NBA schedule, which he has.

Our beat writers would spill it within hours. Rabby has already said enough with the email he got. Meaning no one is probably sending him anymore info. Sterling seems to have Glass's attention. He may be one of the few guys who would know IF word was to get out. Still think Glass keeps this close to the vest until a few hours maybe the last minute.

Awful example?  Laughing.  Both at your being so damned combative and the fact that you made my point for me. His resume suggests he's won a title.  Same as Mike Davis' resume suggests he has been to a national final.  We're not hiring a resume.  We're hiring the right coach.  Hiring a resume (Crean had been to a final four, Sampson had been to a final four, etc) would be....a major mistake if we hired the wrong coach because he had a good resume.

I don't really get your point of "NOTHING has changed." How do negotiations work? Change is kinda inherent in negotiations. Changing terms, changing money, changing incentives.
