Trish Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Morgan will test the NBA waters and declare for the draft. He might get some team to fall in love with him..but it’s a long shot. I expect him back next year. But... he could be a stash player in the G League for some team. I think his height and athletic ability might hinder him. I really like Morgan as a second or probably third option in the offense, but not as option one. If Langford comes, he is option one from the start. If one of the other freshmen or a grad transfer is good enough, then Morgan slips a little farther down. My point is that I don't see him improving his draft stock with another year. I can see him playing a long time in Europe, but I don't know how he fits in the NBA. Quote
BGVille Hoosierfan Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Guys this might be unpopular but I think Morgan would get killed in the NBA. I just don’t see it! Euro player? Sure. NBA? No freakin way. Sent from my iPad using BtownBannersI agree he is way undersized to play in the NBA and doesn't have much of a game outside of under the basket....Tyler Hansbrough had more of a game and a better motor but is about the same size...just ask him how his career is going with the Mad Ants. Unless he magically develops a shot within the next 2 months or increases his vertical by 10 inches, he's not going anywhere. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app jonz44 1 Quote

If he leaves, it will be because he wants to get paid to play, and who can blame him. But, those checks will not come from an NBA team, unless it is in the G league. Quote

pumpfake Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 If Davis can come back, and raise his play (stay out of foul trouble!), it would help Morgan immeasurably. Heck, it'd help everyone on the court with him. Being able to rotate Morgan, Davis, Smith, and hopefully Thompson would go a long way to improving the team. Quote

He's undersized to bang down low and needs to develop a consistent trey to be on the NBA radar in my opinion. Now, whether he develops that shot in the G-League or at IU, that's anyone's guess... IU needs him though. That's for sure. jonz44 and BGleas 2 Quote

Jam Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Another reason I am not fond of the redshirt in the current era. Good players often don’t want to even stay four years let alone 5. The risk of graduate transfers even make it worse.Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Quote
