hoosierbannerd Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 I can feel ya' Brass. Kids took the gym time away. Beer and food intake increased. Problem is, at 45, it's hard to get anything back now.I take my 8 yr old with me..she swims or hangs out in the day care while I lift.. I balance swimming or other activities with her too though. My booze consumption has dropped over the last few years. Usually my coaching is what kills my lifting time 2x a year. I'm pushing 47 and can't hit what I did 10 yrs ago but not bad for an "old dad".Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BtownBanners mobile app HoosierCoop 1 Quote

goonaha Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Summer Q&A with Zach McRoberts: http://iuhoosiers.com/news/2017/6/29/mens-basketball-summer-q-a-zach-mcroberts.aspx What have the coaches told you about what your role will be with the team?"We are still working to define that role. But I am working every day to get better at whatever they ask me to do. That changes from day to day, but I'm just following Coach Miller's lead working on my game every day." What are some moments that stick out from last year?"I think it was a great experience to be part of the basketball team at IU and get some valuable minutes. I love being around the guys. That has been the best part of the experience, just being around everybody." What is your mindset when you are out on the court?"I think no matter what, I'm going to play hard when I'm out on the court. I just want to compete, play hard and try to make a difference. It doesn't matter what people think about me, I just want to make a difference any way I can." What are some of your goals for this offseason?"In the weight room, everyone just wants to get stronger and quicker. On the court, that can transfer to offense and defense. In terms of basketball, I just want to get more consistent and confident with my shot and that's been good so far. "I just want to build upon what I did last year and be more of a threat on offense and defense and rounding my game out." What has it meant to have Collin Hartman healthy and active in workouts this summer?"He has been here four years and having that experience of talking to guys and explaining things has been really good." What are you studying?"My major is Economics. I am on pace to graduate this year and then hopefully start a one or two year program with my fifth year here." ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 14, 2017 Popular Post Posted July 14, 2017 Nice piece from Osterman in the Indpls. Star. One more last time: Collin Hartman's IU journey not done yet “It is cool to be a part of two eras,” Hartman said. “I had four great years with coach Crean, won a championship. I’ve known him since I was in eighth grade. We have an extensive history between the two of us, and I'm appreciative for everything he has done for me, and I'm also looking forward to what we do with coach Miller and what we have going forward in this year.” Hartman-Compton can abbreviate: “He did say to me, which I was excited about, he goes, ‘Mom, this coach’ — talking about coach Miller — ‘this coach is going to win a national championship while he’s at IU. It might not be while I’m here, but I want to be at the beginning of this.’” http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/indiana/2017/07/14/one-more-last-time-collin-hartmans-iu-journey-not-done-yet/478671001/ MemphisHoosier, thebigweave, ThompsonHoosier and 9 others 12 Quote

With his length he'll never need to be to be extremely strong, just strong enough to where players can't push him around. ThompsonHoosier, IU Hambone and Tom White 3 Quote
