Oregon is looking impressive. I'm not sure he'll leave Oregon with their resources. I'd put him in the "reach out if we get to that point."

I agree, even though I feel like our next coach will come from the group of Dana Altman-Chris Holtmann-Archie Miller type of guys we hope have a high ceiling that we can get for cheap.

Altman would be interesting. Has made Oregon cool to go to for basketball. I didn't see that coming either. I like his teams and he seems to always have balance on his roster. When Dillon Brooks was out it could have decimated them, but he figured it out. Hasn't made any final fours or anything but out of all the guys we want that aren't the top tier he would be my first call.

Stevens, Donovan, Bennett, Wright is the top tier

Altman leads second tier with Archie, Mike White, Mack, Hoiberg, Marshall, Mick Cronin,

Third tier Holtman, Enfield, Chris Collins, Brad Underwood, Leonard Hamilton, McDermott, Jamie Dixon

I wouldn't necessarily want anyone in the 3rd tier but most are upgrades. I love Underwood, Cronin, White and really love Altman as well as Archie as options. At this point though I just want change to give our program a new face and get optimism back.

Im still ticked about missing Shake. I wanted to use "Shake and Bake Baby" so bad.....

I'm pretty sure that Crean could have gotten IU into the dance despite that kind of talent.

Mike White's name has popped up a couple of time and I know very little about him.  The very first thing that jumped out at me when I looked at his background is that he's always been in the deep deep south - born and raised, college, coaching experience, etc.  Purely an observation.

Wouldn't be a bad look imho. Guy can coach, and usually solid defensively? I say this without looking at stats guys

It's fun to talk about but I just don't see Glass pulling the trigger.. Might have to wait for next year, which I believe will be another down year based on the mediocre recruiting class.

Agreed but.. I don't think it's been this loud before as to most of the fan base and alum wanting him gone.

I could be wrong but I get the sense that glass is gonna start feeling pressure.

Missing the NCAA 2 outta the last 4 years won't fly.

Let's all help ourselves out.  Let's all have low expectations for next yr that way if we do slightly better than expected we can all feel excited.  Try that reverse psychology on ourselves.  Everytime we expect to be really good, we suck.  Worth a shot.

I think that is what most people have done on here and other sites for years. That is why years like this piss people off more.

Knight was definitely an unknown, but he was highly regarded. He had been offered head coaching jobs at Florida, Wisconsin, and others were looking. Different times back then though...

I'd be all for a young up and comer who teaches the fundamentals and team concepts. Maybe that's Archie...

Not that most people needed another reason to want CTC gone, but I read a piece last night with a disturbing statistic. Over the last 4 seasons, we're 36-29 in the BiG with three finishes of seventh or worse over last four seasons – including this one not yet concluded.

I decided to extrapolate on that further. Take since 2012 and we're 61-41 in conference. Other than the 2 BiG championships CTC has won(remove 2013 and 2016) we're 32-34. Under .500 in conference for 2012, 14, 15, and this year. That's insanity, that more often than not in the last 6 years we've been under .500 in conference.

IndyStar Sports Twitter account said this this morning...

#iubb fans were booing everything against #Purdue. @GreggDoyelStar thinks that might become a trend. http://indy.st/2ka2sC4

May be THAT will get through to Glass and Crean... hate booing our guys, though.
