Really Coach?  Maybe because the competition at practice (particularly the defense) ain't all that tough.   This is embarrassing.   There is NO coming back from this debacle.   #itsnotjustoneseason

My first was over Christmas break against the Badgers. Awesome time even though the students were gone. The game was rough, but still very fun to watch.
 
Edit: I would do it again, but only if the students were there. I'd also like the university to do something for me, the guy who spent an entire paycheck on gas, tickets, hotels, food and merchandise in two days. Make a change. The product is sour.

My first game was this year vs Illinois. We won but it was still a tough game but wouldn't trade that experience for anything! My dad bought the tix for me for Christmas and went with me. Had staff section seats 30 rows off the floor, no students, but it was still amazing. Plan on at least getting tix for one game a year, but if CTC is still coach, I will wait if I have to till he is gone.

By Crean's post game comments it sounds like he plans on being back next season, but I also wouldn't expect him to say anything less.  I just really hope he moves on, or that Glass steps up, and removes him.

What a tool? Its not all sunshine and rainbows anymore, the fan base has sniffed you out and knows that you are full of Shitake Mushrooms! I think the statement that bothered me the most was the, "whether its year 1 or 10, I'm gonna coach the same way!" Seriously, 9 years of up and down success, no improvements in taking care of the ball or defense, same problems year after year, no offensive sets besides run and gun or weave and heave, turmoil within the teams, and the current downhill slide in recruiting, and you don't think that an adjustment or two in your coaching style would help? In the business world, CTC would have been fired years ago. You have to adapt to survive! We all know Coach Knight started to fade at the end of his reign at IU and I think part of it was his refusal to change with the times. We are on a dark path headed towards complete and udder irrelevance with this type of mentality. If the Sampson era was the dark ages of IU basketball, if a change is not made, this could become the black hole of no return! I for one can not fathom or handle the idea of IU being permanent bottom feeders of the state! IU is currently a fly that has been caught by a spider (CTC) that is about to take the last sip of IU's liquefied insides.

He literally used every excuse. Brought up the fact that we beat KU and UNC, injuries, no leadership, and had to mention he won 2 B10 ships in 4 years! I'm so sick of this guy! No doubt he's coming back. Glass has already told him. In a punka** Glass move (imo) nothing will be announced. They're just hoping things die down with the end of the season here. Glass and Crean are both chicken s**ts! They both need to go!

"We've got to get better."  How many times have we heard that or seen that quote this season?  Good grief, we didn't start 4 freshmen and a sophomore.  The guys that played the bulk of the minutes were all seasoned D-1 veterans.  Our freshmen rarely got meaningful minutes and when they did and if they were positive minutes, it always seemed like they were taken out of the game and rarely seen again.  So coach, when do YOUR recruits get better?  When do YOUR recruits assume leadership?  When do YOUR recruits learn to play defense?  When do YOUR recruits learn to take care of the ball?  When do you start recruiting like you know what you're doing and hopefully it's no longer from Bloomington, IN.

Last night he said "I have to get better."  Geez louise, how many years have you been coaching (or whatever it is you call it)?  Maybe a coach with less than 10 years on the job says that, but a man with your years???????    You're way out of your league at IU and almost everyone knows it but you.

This guy is a complete . All he does is make excuses for why his team isn't good. He NEVER takes accountability and I am really damn tired of it. It's mostly Crean but Glass has to take blame as well. Glass started all of this crap with that ridiculous extension, S16 rings and cutting down the nets after a LOSS with an outright B1G championship on the line. Fred has allowed Crean to do whatever he damn well pleases. It's an absolute outrage and if Glass can't see that and does the unforgivable, he needs to be fired at the same damn time with Crean. With all that said, I still think Crean is gone but I wanna see a presser to validate it

The Board of Trustees have more on their plate than just the athletic department and that's why FG has the job.  But I cannot imagine that there is a single trustee who is happy with the product we put on the court this year.  Publicly they may couch their comments, but behind closed doors I have to believe they are just as upset as we are and there is pressure being brought to bear.  This debacle that has become Indiana basketball has to end.

Next year projects to be about the same as this year. There is no way you extend him this year or next. If Crean isn't gone we're just digging a deeper hole and getting further from what we expect to be.

Everything that could possibly be said has been said by other posters but I one thing that has been saddening to me is if you go to espn.com right now IU is nowhere to be found. It's march. There's no way that IU should not be on the front page of that website during march. I keep going to that website expecting to see IU news and nothing. Sad.
