TOM CREAN FIRED

If Calipari had came here we'd likely have a few more banners hanging in Assembly Hall right now. What could've been...

I wouldn't want Calipari.  There is no such thing as a 'clean' coach at this level, not even Crean, but Cal is complete filth.  Especially after Samsung, no thank you, and what he did isn't even illegal now.

More sanctions as well. Glad it never came to pass and I never had to face the choice as to remain an iu basketball fan with a cheat or find a new team. But I can see the intrigue in him being coach for other fans but if he were here this postman might not be

See how hard of job Glass has? Not even BTB can agree

Stevens----yes-----not going to happen
Donovan------yes------not going to happen
Bennett-----mostly yes------won't happen
Wright-------yes-------won't happen
Archie Miller-------25/75
Sean Miller------75-25-----won't happen
Holtman-------50-50. Won't unite fanbase
Alford-------20-80
Enfield------10-90
Gregg Marshall-----25-75

I'm not seeing anyone besides Stevens, Donovan, Wright, and Bennett that the majority support.

Idk where we go but I sure hope Glass can figure it out.

I can probably guarantee there are more banners hanging in Assembly Hall. And yes I know he has had problems with sanctions and all that, but every team cheats. Nothing about college football or basketball is clean. You can be more clean than others but not completely clean

I dunno... I think the board is running about 75/25 for both Archie, Holtman, and Nored. Also, Fife is at about 30%.

He's as slimy as they get but I think I would take that over what we've had for the past 9 years, especially if Crean ends up staying for another 2-3 years or more. Of course not everyone will agree with that, but you aren't going to win in today's NCAA unless you're operating in the gray areas. I would rather win "dirty" than lose the "right way" but that's just my personal opinion.

I would rather win like Villanova and jay wright did last year. I haven't seen anything from the college basketball media or world to say he is a big cheat. I'm sure there might be gray areas even for him but they are not dark gray with everyone talking about them

I don't understand why people aren't excited about Gregg Marshall. He has 18 conference titles and a Final Four and...

FIRE HIM! This is embarrassing

Some probably feel MVC and the Big South might be different then winning a conference championship at a high major conference

It's not as big of a conference, but it's very impressive results. Plus that Final Four is against big boys. His resume is very impressive imo

Ehhhh.

Hard pass. Plus, he looks just like Crean. We need a young pup. Who is that young pup? No idea.

Mike White (Florida) has interested me a tad.

That's what I've heard people say...he looks like Crean. That's a ridiculous disqualifier.

Why a hard pass other than his appearance?

Besides a couple of candidates whoever will be hired is going to be a risk. While the final 4 is impressive against big boys it is nothing that other coaches have done during a magical run. Jim Larranaga did the same with George mason, Shaka did the same with VCU, crean did the same with Marquette, Davis did the same with IU. I agree he has an impressive resume I just wished he would of moved on to a bigger conference by now

He's won in an unimpressive conference. Like I said, we need someone youngish. Someone who can relate to the kids and sell the program in this new generation of kids.

Give me 5 years to see what Archie or Holtman could do and I would be happy.

Marshall is 53. He has another 20 years of coaching left. You say young, I think inexpierenced and not qualified. Id take Marshall over thevlikes of Fife, Nored, Holtmann, and the other young pups in the coaching profession. Not saying I  wouldmt support whoever is next, but they would be my first choice.

Besides, its really Stevens and then everyone else.

It's Stevens for me as well. He's my 1-10 on the list and then everyone else. He is the one guy that would completely unite this fan base

Not just because of today, but I'm starting to think we shouldn't just dismiss Bennett because of whatever might have happened with his sister. It was a different admin then, and he may be the most qualified, realistic guy in college right now.

I'll always say Stevens is the first call, but Bennett might be next. The right amount of money can change people's minds.
