Just think guys if Crean can Land Waters and Tucker we might make the sweet sixteen if we are lucky.

I have a better chance of Ariana Grande wearing nothing but a bow underneath my tree at Christmas time

Does CTC have any 2018 recruiting momentum going? I think it will be hard for him to recruit when he has a lack of support just like it was this year.

He'll be dead in the water trying to recruit against any competitive team (as if he already isn't).  Heck, all an opposing coach would have to do is link to some random  "Fire Tom Crean" thread (of which there are many) and the kid will know it's an ugly situation.

I know youre joking in this post but I could see some apologists making this argument.

For them, we couldn't even make the tournament with this squad so I can't see us being better after he replaces the guys we lose with worse players.

Isn't Waters already signed with Georgetown?

Well he did hire a football coach without conducting a search... Nothing surprises me with Glass. I will just need to move on and so will a lot of others. Assembly Hall will be interesting next year if Crean is on the sidelines. He will be very uncomfortable which is why I don't understand why he won't leave.

About 3.5 million reasons and add ego as another one.  Crean will never get a job of this caliber again and he knows it.  He also knows he'll never get a job paying what he makes now.  Why would he willingly take a lesser paying job at a lesser program, and risk having an AD that will hold him accountable?

Up until a week ago I said glass would never fire him. I changed my tune thinking he would simply have no choice in the matter. Now it seems I might have been right which is just a sickening feeling. It would prove what i always felt though. Glass has no interest in being elite. It was a big fat lie.

Online polls mean nothing. For all we know much of the Crean vote was Wisconsin fans hoping for a couple more guaranteed victories next year.

Could've been Fred Glass voting time after time after time after time, then going back to spit shining Crean's Sweet 16 ring before voting time after time after time again.

I hate to say this but if Crean is retained, boycott anything that has to do with IU basketball until a change is made. This is the only way to force Glass's hand. The loudest voice we can make is not being present for anything. You can still support the program but do it from your family room watching them on tv. I hate that it has resorted to this.

I say we all mail a bag of peanuts to Glass office starting the day it's announced he's returning.

Yep and fred is the only fool in the usa to pay him that and keep him on.

Crean getting 26% of the votes is the real problem. Give fans of Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, etc. our results over the past four years and I think the % who would want the coach back would be very close to 0. Too many fans that are satisfied with mediocrity and being relevant once every now and then. They don't expect excellence in the first place so of course they're not upset when we don't achieve it.

Those programs would've fired Crean by now.

Actually, they never would've hired him but that's beside the point.  The would also fire the AD for mishandling their most visible program the way Glass is.

Then apologizing for taking down Crean's ego banner then finding a way to put it back up along with a separate banner for '16.

Does this freak out have more to do with actual "inside info" (which I don't believe) or the fact that no move has been made yet? Either way people need to chill and see what happens.

Hickory Hoosier on 24/7 has been a known insider and said to expect him back unless he leaves on his own Glass will not fire him or something along those lines.

Another supposed insider. I trust no one. He may be right but lets see what happens. Social media has turned our world to the point where one posts from a supposed insider causes hundreds a mass freakout. The good and the bad of modern technology and social media are at work.
