If you look at Janitors pictures only from twitter you know he is connected. Pictures of players eating, pictures at hotels w the team, pictures of Crean during the tourney last year I mean sorry but you don't get those unless someone in the program likes ya. JS. I can't say if what he says is ALWAYS true but he does have a good record.

We fired our football coach bc IU was about to get sued. Totally different than marshall. I got that info from a friend who knows someone on the OSU football staff.

Candid pictures don't necessarily mean someone is connected. Anyone with actual status with the program wouldn't want to risk that either.

I mean I trust the mods that say the janitor is close in some way because they know who he is, but all those pictures say to me is that he is close to the program. Those pictures are what any media member that follow IU would have. Like I said I don't doubt the janitor is close to the program, but those pictures don't tell me a lot.

Yeah they always announce in Feb when the camps are. The one year they didn't announce right then was 2015. They ended up announcing after Crean was told he was coming back. Easy to read between the lines on this one. I guarantee this camp is their biggest money maker.

I'm sorry but having gone to school at UD within the past couple years this is the furthest thing from the truth. He is loved at Dayton by fans, administration, and students as much as if not more than Cal is loved at UK (and that's not an exaggeration). Archie constantly gets the max potential out of his players and demands them to play at a high level and knows how to play toward his teams strengths. If you get chance to watch them in the tournament I suggest you do. After Stevens and Donovan, Archie probably is my number one target. I truly believe he will be a better coach than his brother when given the opportunity.

We do not need a "top guy."  We do not need a name.   We do not need a guy who's got a pedigree.  We need a basketball coach who fits.  Who recruits kids with high basketball IQ instead of just kids with ball skills.  We need kids who will buy into defense (let's face it, Butler went to two straight title games under Brad Stevens because they were top 3 defensive teams both years.  The first season, no team scored more than 61 points against them ALL SEASON until Duke scored 62 in the final) and the communication that goes with it.  See: Ronald Nored, Kelsey Barlow.  Neither close to the athlete Blackmon or Newkirk are; but both understood positioning, hands in passing lanes, and simple effort.

We need kids who will make good decisions with the ball and value each possession.  We need kids who buy into what the coach says and not (like Blackmon) refuse to go into the huddle during a timeout.  We need a mix of kids who are good with the ball and kids who know how to play without it.  We need big men who have good post footwork and don't need to shoot 3's. 

A coach who can get those things done, along with x's and o's and all the PR stuff will win at Indiana.  It does not have to be Billy Donovan.   I don't follow anything closely enough to tell you who that guy is, but Sampson and Crean were both "names" who had been to a recent final four and had "pedigree."  Indiana needs to get this hire right; not worry about whose name is on the list.

I should add the dude is sourced. Hell Pap is sourced, but we didn't really sit behind the wall asking where people got information. When Reb was around we got naked women. When Boob was around we picked on him. Occasional groan about things going on. Good convos, as it is hard to truly put your feelings out on the board as a mod. Nothing crazy though behind the scene lol. The dudes they got now are a good group though. I am sure it is entertaining at least.
