Honestly not being a jerk but I don't recall him saying if we missed tourney or early exit his seat would be hot. I agree they should be. I remember him saying we must compete for B1G titles and that would take care of the rest. Right now we are in 2nd place. Even if we lost our next two we would be in top four. I just see him as a lawyer that would say we were right there til the end. IMO any less than 14 wins this year is disappointing. I said that before B1G started and people thought I was nuts that we could never get there. I think most agree we should be aiming for that now.

it was in a thread on btown where it was a audio of him being interviewed by Don fischer? Not sure. But yes what you are saying is the one I heard also but the way I took it he expects alot from the basketball program and football program has lesser goals for obvious reasons. If he was genuine at all if we finish 3 or worse and get beat early in tourney his seat should be hot. We shall see hope we win the big ten and have a final four runs and take some momentum into next year and beyond

Thanks, I have seen people mention that.  I hadn't heard the audio, just the breakdown of it.  Wasn't sure if I was mistaken or how it was worded.

Pressure like we had at the end of last year but amplified. There may be some big money that wants him to stay but that will potentially make those opposed even louder.

Not sure many would agree with 50%. Although this is like saying "he could get a lifetime contract and never come close to .500 in conference." Just chalk this one up to the typical over exaggeration with more focus on shining a spotlight on your feeling that he is a horrible coach rather than fact. I like discussing things from a more realistic perspective. I feel as though he is probably in the 25-50 range in overall head coaching role. Not many known commodities available so I think if a move were to be made this year it would be an up and comer. I don't see Crean getting fired this year so that could change next year.

one step at a time. Most on here felt we had a good chance at beating iowa but feel crean will fall on his face Sunday and other places down the stretch. Last night was a good win but not imo a great coaching performance

Hey man, please stop trolling this thread.  These dudes for the most part will discuss anything with anyone.  That is what this about.  I have been going back and forth with people in this thread for a while.  This isn't a thread to throw any shade in the face of "Crean haters" after every win.  To this point in his tenure he has drastically underachieved the last few years.  If you were to ask me point blank on this day would I want him gone for stability?  I would say yes, mostly due to his history.  I think steadiness is a better recipe for sustained success than impulsive coaching or practicing.  Lets see how the year finishes up and in the meantime we will keep debating the things in between.  That is what this is for.
