Since they haven't played for almost a week I'm curious what their practice schedule has been like. If Crean has had them in his traditional grueling late season practices I see them coming out very flat.

Past few years he's said his practices have been cut down quite a bit as the season progresses. However, our teams have always look worn out by Feb.

Perhaps he took the week to describe what a screen is.

Normally not something he would cover this early but sometimes you gotta just go with the flow.

The way we've played this season makes it seem like Crean has cut out practice altogether. I could see him thinking the way to right the ship is longer practices and going back to them.

Screening in basketball? We don't do that here. Drive into the paint without a ball screen and throw it up. That's the Indiana Way!

I'm not going to try to find it, but I thought he was quoted about what a hard practice they had the day before the Minny game.

Hate to say it but this is one we have to lose, imo. The talking heads are finally starting to come around on getting rid of Crean. If we pull off a few wins in a row then I think that talk cools a bit and increases the chance he's back next year. We've made it through this much already this year, might as well finish it off and end this nightmare once and for all.

I really doubt a couple guys in the media will sway IU's decision one way or another. There really aren't *that* many people talking about it. It comes down to the deep pockets and I have a hunch that those minds are already made up. Beating a bad Iowa team shouldn't change much. (And I get the feeling we will but who knows)

If he strings together a couple of wins and closes strong he will be back.

Agreed, I don't think a few wins in the next 5 games really changes the minds of those who matter. That seems to be pretty simpleton thinking. Money and image seem to be far greater than a win or two against bad teams.

If the rumors have any basis, I can't believe Glass would be involved in buyout negotiations let alone put out new coach feelers only to later say, "Oops, I changed my mind."  Wouldn't do much for his street cred.

That's true. I guess I'm just worried about a scenario where he wins the next four games and manages to squeek into the tournament, the narrative shifts to "wow Crean carried an injury depleted team to the big dance!" and we're back next year for more of the same. There's a near 0 chance of all of that happening, of course, but I'll be unnecessarily anxious until he's officially gone.
