He previously thought he’d retire at JMU, but we came back with the 2nd offer he couldn’t refuse. I’m starting to get scared that he does so well in year 1 and has recruiting in roads like this that he’ll have to consider an offer 2x what we are paying him when he’s 63 and still wants to coach for 12 more years. It’d be a very IU football thing to happen. thebigweave 1 Quote

So this all fun and no downside. thebigweave, Artie86, Chris007 and 1 other 4 Quote

Recently received an offer from Coach Buddha and discussed visiting this weekend (not sure if it materialized with the weather.). He will be announcing his decision during the February signing period. To date, he has received mostly MAC level offers/interest sprinkled with a few lower tier Power 5 offers. https://247sports.com/Player/mikeshun-beeler-46129593/ https://n.rivals.com/content/athletes/mikeshun-beeler-299387?guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAHI2Ayod0GB4XpvPC0Tf9A2n0v9ckDUMBqZoYD4xSIJbfPpVsMDr_gsXJMfi93wKXmf2D9WsHhrZncYInPyCR53ld6gKB2Mj7DaWN_VmK4zOyIBBjxGWuqzBxsbbWIT9sUFmwd2wfqoj6V24u4kZbt_L6k2dg1fUpiIwMvse6RK9&view=pv DL Beeler signed with MSU this week, good pull by the new staff in East Lansing Quote
MemphisHoosier Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 Does anyone know if Christian Peterson from Carmel ended up signing,? Young man committed last Summer and didn't sign during the early period. Quote

Have not seen him on the signing lists IU has released, which is a little surprising because I thought he had an offer from James Madison. Quote

That's what I am seeing as well. In December, Peterson mentioned that he would sign during the Feb period, but to my knowledge - he hasn't. What I find odd about is that the staff released their '24 signing class visual on 2/7, inclusive of transfers on social media and he wasn't included. I wonder if this is a situation where the staff wants to maintain a solid relationship with the school & community (Carmel) but doesn't see a fit on the roster (which wouldnt be a huge surprise given CCC is at 90-92 scholarship as of today) and is encouraging him to find the right spot behind the scenes? He made an official visit to Indiana last month on January 12th. Haven't seen anything beyond that -- so haven't seen that he has officially signed BUT also haven't seen that he is reopening his commitment. MemphisHoosier 1 Quote

But, Brett Murphy from Action Network has us over, going to Quick Lane Bowl vs Central Michigan. I know it's complete speculation, but fun to read (unlike 90% of the other topics on the board) Lebowski, southsidehoosier, MemphisHoosier and 1 other 4 Quote
