Hatton family in Bloomington!

Trust me, the Bellarmine campus schedule didn’t dictate when the Hatton family was getting to Bloomington. Langdon was ready to run to IU when Woodson called. This kid wants to be a Hoosier!

I love to hear when recruits want to be at IU. He will represent the university well.

Just listened to an interview with Gottlieb. Not the ****** that many make him out to be. As far as coaching experience....he was a consultant to the Oklahoma State program this past year. Got to sit in on player meetings, planning meetings, and got to learn how to run a program. Also has coached multiple AAU teams--not necessarily a glowing resume, but has some experience. He understands his shortcomings. Because he is coaching at a lower level, he negotiated the time to be able to continue his nationally syndicated radio show every day. Due to this, he asked for much less money from UWGB so he could go out and hire and pay staff not normally seen in this level of a program. He is going to surround himself with people who can help him learn what he doesn't know. Don't get me wrong, I am not a Gottlieb fan. Not to the level of Dakich dislike, but closer to that than anything else. However, he did come across as being humble and willing to learn as he goes. Willing to spread the wealth to bring in qualified help. In a day of greed and me first, it's refreshing to hear this from a guy. Maybe, like all of us, he has matured and grown from the guy who stole credit cards 20+ years ago.

He would also be freaking awesome to watch take a haymaker to the pie hole as he's talking trash while backing up. But maybe that's just me.

Without getting to far ahead of things, all of the portal additions seem to have improved our team top to bottom. Not many glaring weaknesses. Could be a very good year.

And? I don't think those guys are signing to play for Archie. If you think otherwise, that's fine. Everyone does understand the amount we JUST spent in NIL is a VERY good thing, regardless if Woodson EFFs it up this year. Right? We get that? That has to be sooo attractive for coaching prospects.

That's a huge pickup. 2 A finals at the NCAAs and with a bit of improvement in the 3rd event could score in that. Also helps the medley relays in either back or fly. Plus, she has 3 years of eligibility left. Huge.

He also head coached Team USA to a gold medal in the 2017 Maccabi games (18+ division). That team was largely made up of small conference D1 players.

Archie had good players and never made the tournament. Woodson did better with Archie's players than Archie himself.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don’t understand the arrogance and smugness from Knicks players and fans. The league and media has tried to prop them up as some historical, great franchise , when in fact , they've only won 2 championships in their history. And the last one was over a half a century ago. After being in NYC not long ago I realized one thing, the city and NBA are not what they once were. I have no dog in this fight, but it feels like there's not much difference in watching the NBA and WWE. Both seem overly scripted, and hard to watch.

So it is about winning, which is fine, just admit that. No Bob Knight treated people quite a bit worse than Woodson. It's well-documented. So win, and you're considered a better person. At least I understand the parameters now.

Can't lie, the arrogance criticism is killing me. I don't care who it is, be they as brazen as RMK or as winsome as Wooden, every coach at the high, high major level is arrogant to the point of narcissism. No exceptions. Never met her, but I'll bet a mortgage payment that Teri Moren has bulletproof self belief and dismisses outside noise without even thinking about it. In that fishbowl you're not gonna function any other way. Woody should've caught some of that stuff on the way out of his mouth, no question, but to suggest that he demonstrates some inappropriate level of arrogance is just silly. C'mon, there are legit reasons to bust that dude up, plenty of them, that's just not one of them.
