Colorado State should be entering top 25 on Monday. I was really discouraged when IU struggled against Wright State after Colorado State had destroyed them, but the Rams are legit. 21 points over Creighton today. Their next game is a home game against Colorado. Probably a good one to watch because both programs are pretty good this year and they hate each other.

Interesting story: After he registered a zero in a high school game, me and others posted “hard pass” for IU. Which prompted posting by his family on the board that we would all be proven wrong in a hurry. They soon thereafter pulled the posts, but it was not a good look.

Fitting that Garzon had a good night from distance on her birthday. It just so happens that a former Hoosier known for tickling the twine also is celebrating a birthday today (No. 59).

Interesting if you are on the outside looking in you are probably screaming how can a top 10 McDonald’s AA get a DNP but if you followed Indiana high school basketball you new despite the high ranking he was always going to be a project. Anytime in regular high school games against teams without high major talents you are putting up 0 there is a problem. Still think he can be good down the road but I doubt it will be with Sparty

Win this one and one of the Maryland Michigan games

That's true but I think we'll see less of that with NIL if the reason they would choose to go pro despite likely being undrafted is financial.

This is a game to see if we’re getting around to defending the 3 better. We’d better be or they’ll go off from deep. Staff, step up please.

Where would Mgbako go? Those early draft projections will go out the window if it already hasn’t. Unless he does a complete 180 he isn’t going pro this year. Similarly, Reneau isn’t going pro either. There is no place in the NBA for a plodding 6’9” player. TJD is twice as athletic and was an all-American and he was a late 2nd rounder. I’m not saying both will be here next year as players transfer etc but pro? No

    71-57 final -- wasn't really that close. Well-done, ladies.

That last action to get that Garzon 3 was so sweet. Woody could do worse than look at what CTM is doing to free up Garzon and maybe steal a couple of the these actions for Mgbako.

Would love to have a Garzon type shooter on the men's team

To add to this, the games on Peacock will be professionally produced. BTN+ are amateur student productions. BTN+ is a pure money grab and very overpriced for what you receive vs any other streaming service.

    IU Basketball News and Notes

I spent a lot of my early years listening to IU games on the radio. Really enjoyed the years when every game was available on over the air TV. I will never never pay for extra streaming services beyond what I already have. Fans no longer matter, just revenue from broadcasting contracts. The Pacers have done the same thing with the Bally contract. It shuts out people who lack the means to pay for the service. In my opinion, not a great way to build a fanbase. Ok, I'm done with my grumpy old man rant.

Harvard won at Colgate today, they are 4-1 ranked 139 in kenpom. Pumped for this one, going to Colts game at 1 and then heading straight to Gainbridge for the Hoosiers.

This band won't make it. Nov. 14, 1964: Rolling Stones flop in Dayton Fewer than 1,000 of the 6,000 seats in the new Hara Arena were filled for the appearance of the Rolling Stones in Dayton. The band had also bombed in Ft. Wayne and Cleveland before coming to Dayton. Lead singer Mick Jagger was still able to get some enthusiasm from those that did attend their shortened concert. The band was only on stage for less than 20 minutes and sang only eight songs, of what the Dayton Daily News reporter called, “their brand of noise.” The reviewer went on to say, “Except for unanimously shunning barbers the group has utter disdain for uniformity, even to the point of working in whatever costume they happened to be wearing when it’s time to go on.” Brian Jones, a founding member of the band, did not make the trip to Dayton, he was ill in a Chicago hospital at the time.
