It sucks because I really want to like Archie. I didn’t like Crean because he was goofy and kind of weird and was also really inconsistent as a coach. But I wanted to like Archie. I wanted him to be the guy to succeed at IU. I just don’t see any realistic scenario where that happens. We aren’t good this year, and next year will be even worse unless TJD miraculously returns. No real point in waiting another year for the inevitable.

There’s a reason I don’t watch IU basketball anymore...... not a fair weather fan, just can’t stand the product that been given to us in year 4. This was the season I would judge Archie Miller and it’s a major fail. Unfortunately we are probably stuck with this for another couple of years. This thread is going to be 100% relevant and I feel like fans are lying to themselves if they think different. We all see the slow death coming. Beard is #1 for me but honestly I just want something different at this point. Can it really get any worse?

I’ve never had less fun watching IU basketball.

Thankfully its just 12 minutes. If this game was on BTN, the game would be pre-empted for a vigil dedicated to Urban Meyer leaving the network.

Honestly, it’s just me recognizing that I’m just an ordinary fan at the end of the day who can’t really do anything about it. I’m not a former player or a big donor so I don’t have any juice to squeeze. Getting mad about the games just puts me in a bad mood and doesn’t do anything to fix things, so what’s the point. I was big on the tank train during Crean’s last year because I thought we could land a home run hire to bring IU back. I thought Archie was going to be that guy. But it hasn’t worked out, and we’re 4 more years away from our past. Maybe we get things turned around. I hope that we do because I love IU and I loved my time at IU. Wouldn’t trade it for anything. But if we don’t, it is what it is.

That's the big thing: you can't be run of the mill and boring. Armaan IMO has been the single good story this year. TJD is good. Rob and Al.....shrink. Galloway is a nice role player on a team that has shortcomings so much that it's hard to field a role player.

There is absolutely, never, EVER, an excuse to lose to f***ing Purdue 8 times in a row. Absolutely inexcusable. These aren't great, or even that good of Purdue teams either.

Those coaches sans Collins would be home run hires. The problem is fans and administration have different expectations. If you're a top coach what's the allure to leave your current gig and coach at IU? Serious question

2020 Covid, no fans in the stands will GIFT Archie another year. It will be equally mediocre or worse. Then they will fire him. So, sadly we have 1.5 years of this crap before our next Rebuild. I think the Romeo experience sunk Archie. Momentum was gone after that and murmurs precipitated about Archies system and offense from then on. We are lucky to have TJD. Unacceptable

This “hand off” freaking offense allows a forced shot and that’s it! That’s what we got and you will not win with that type of plan. There is no spacing at all. We don’t pick, back cut, etc. I can’t imagine life without TJD.
