Penn State with their heads on straight is still top 4 in the Big Ten, too.

He’s isn’t getting that job in a million years and it would fly in the face of everything I believe about hiring coaches if he did, but Terry Smith is awesome. If you don’t want to play hard for that guy that is a serious you problem.

Whoever they hire should keep him on staff as associate head coach. Kind of like how we should’ve with Mike Davis after hiring someone else after Knight left.

Not sure what I clicked on, but Elon’s algo has inundated me with UMass sports and that might be the most beaten down, defeated fanbase I have ever run across. Currently 0-11 in the MAC along with 3-3 in basketball including a loss to Doug Gottlieb/Green Bay. A fair % don’t even want new coaches or a new AD. They just want to get out of D1 sports. It would be truly sad if it wasn’t so funny.

I know only one, I repeat, ONE Illinois fan personally.  He is pretty dejected about the whole season.  A massive failure considering the preseason hype and a favorable schedule.

Yeah I have a friend who is an Illinois fan and after our beatdown I think he realized just how far they are.  His tune in general changed. His wife has taste and is an IU fan so I’m sure she’s giving him the business every week

With LSU, Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, UCLA, Oklahoma State, Penn State, etc., all looking for coaches -- they probably are thinking "There ain't gonna be nobody left."
