Per numerous media reports and direct quotes from Paul Finebaum, Finebaum is giving serious consideration to running for a United States Senate seat in Alabama.

  1. Please, please no partisan political commentary
  2. Celebrating the potential departure of Paul Finebaum from college football commentary is encouraged.

A Finebaum vs Pearl debate may end Alabama....do it!

I get the sentiment, but we don’t need two QB coaches nor can we afford it.  Whitmer makes $800K plus bonuses so he can handle all the QB duties.

I’d guess Tino will find an OC or QB coach co-OC job somewhere else.  He’ll be fine, I’d guess most of his ~$1M/yr two year deal with UCLA will be paid out.

Without knowing the terms Tino left on (I have no reason to believe there’s bad blood), I could see some sort of analyst role for him while waiting for the next hiring cycle. Definitely wouldn’t be anything on the field, but you can’t have too many good football minds working behind the scenes.

Why would you want a guy who didn’t want to be part of the Cig movement?
