(their high ranking was from last year’s success for second half of season and returning players with experience….how many past years before this era did IU have young players that were supposed to get better and a year later IU returned experience to struggle to win 5 games….they were never going to be good enough.

The lopsided IU win vs Illinois is a bad omen for IU vs Oregon game due to Illinois not being that good….It’s a good win for IU but not as good as it looked.

Illinois is 5-1 with a win over a then-ranked USC team. They’re not all that good, but their resume is pretty good. And for IU’s purposes that’s all that matters.

I thought they also used a silent count based on Mendoza’s hand last week. It seemed like Iowa figured it out before the outside of the o-line realized the ball snapped and that allowed Iowa to dominate the line on 3rd and 4th and short.

Notre Dame is leading Boise 6-0, but Boise is in the red zone, and ND's defense is looking suspect. Lots of penalties, and apparently, no kicker for the Irish.
