Had they lost tonight and in the SEC title game -- that would've put them at 9-4.

I know they've said they committee doesn't punish teams for losing P4 championship games -- but even so, at 9-4, that's a tough sell.

And at the very least they would have fallen behind IU. I was just hoping for a little more cushion for us.

I think I’d be ok if IU gets Georgia in the CFP.  We can beat them

Hope you are right...but I think GT plays them close because they see them every year. Last two years the game has been close. Right now, our offense has struggled against teams with multiple NFL draft picks (Michigan and OSU). OSU and Georgia are the two teams I do not want to see for that reason. Georgia is incredibly overrated though.

Might be worth pointing out here that Georgia was unbeaten going into the SEC championship last year and a loss knocked them out of the playoff. Maybe the committee would include them with 3 losses, but it would be rather strange after they kicked them to the curb a year ago.

True but 4 teams vs 12 this year.

The three I would not want to see in the first round are Oregon, OSU and at GA.

Keep rooting for Texas tomorrow.  I don't want Texas A&M sneaking in with a win over Georgia in the title game.

Also rooting for California over SMU....tired of the narrative that 'IU is a pretender' and no one mentions SMU.  SMU loses to California and they could only make it in with a win in the ACC title game.

If SMU wins a close one and IU just blows Purdue out we should jump them. Ridiculous they're ahead of IU. Good team, but don't see how they're 9.

Only one way to find out but I see a talented Georgia real that is prone to making mistakes and turning the ball over.   While we turn the ball better. No extra possession for them

Maybe Texas. We will see how they look tomorrow.  I still think we will see a major upset at some point. Miami-Syracuse will be a shoot-out. You know Vanderbilt would love to beat their in-state rival. USC has looked good at times this year. I can see them giving Notre Dame a game. Maybe Cal gives SMU a scare.

I don't understand how that QB is going to even get drafted early. ESPN has him as a 2nd/3rd round pick. He started the year as the Heisman favorite and in the discussion for the #1 overall pick. Tells you how much McConkey and Bowers meant to him and Georgia. I just think the Georgia defense would wear us out which would in return wear our defense out.

Spin from ESPN already starting.  Louis Riddick of ESPN tweeted "The only reason you would be shocked by how Georgia Tech plays is because you don't pay attention" and that they are "universally thought of as elite".

In the last six years they are 28-43.

Wow. Riddick is one of my favorite guys on ESPN, but that is an atrocious post.

Lmao.

”Elite” teams are quite often 19.5 dogs. These shills don’t even try to hide it anymore.

And speaking of shills, gonna have Clemson-South Carolina on the main tv with O$U-Mich on a side muted. If I hear Gus say “world famous” one more time I’m gonna throat punch him
