Chris Fowler is play by play. Robot Rece isn't calling this game.

lol Lane Loses!

Fowler is the one that started the natty by incorrectly saying IU’s average team age was 24 years old (wrong) even  though Miami was older than us.
He really reinforced the narrative and I can’t stand him since then.

I dislike all things UK, but I’ll take it to see the most unlikable coach in the country eat it.

Great football day.

My favorite thing today was the IU win.

My second favorite was watching Lane Kiffin walking off the field with a look on his face that was somehow a combo of having food poisoning and constipation. Beautiful!

Can’t believe Gameday chose to go to BYU.

Not too shocking as BYU is in the Big 12, ESPN has a Big 12 tv contract, and BYU and ND are both top 10. Intriguing game and one of the few ND could lose (hopefully).

We have the Fox crew doing the big noon kickoff in Bloomington.

Probably late to the party on this but was watching Wayne Knight last night thinking this guy really looks like a Cig running back. A little small but runs angry with great short area explosion. Sure enough, was at JMU with Cig for 2 years.

Sure it’s a joke, but the JMU thing is crazy impressive. They keep cycling guys and it just doesn’t matter because every hire is a hit. I assume they must have better resources than their conference competition, but c’mon. So I was thinking that their AD must a Guy, but it turns out the AD who hired Cig retired and the current guy who’s made the last 2 hires is some guy they found at Eastern Kentucky. And recycling Napier after he washed out so badly at Florida, quite a call. Somebody at the top of their food chain knows what they’re doing.

I thought the guy who hired cig retired in 2024 meaning he did hire Cigs replacement

Correct, so we can also assume I can’t do math.

Sure, you had to call it, the 2nd smack made it mandatory, but there needs to be a rule that a flop as egregious as the Georgia kid’s should be an unsportsmanlike conduct and they should offset. I hate flopping with such a passion.

Ref just walked away. Not 100% sure he saw anything, as he was literally looking the other way. But yeah, flopping should be a penalty. Especially in the SEC.

Dinich strikes again. In her CFP playoff article this morning, she ranks IU No. 7, behind Alabama and Texas, citing our Strength of Schedule (SOS) and Alabama’s supposedly better wins. But even a quick two-minute review exposes the flaws in her argument. Notre Dame and Miami, both ranked ahead of IU in her bracket, have weaker SOS ratings than we do. Dinich’s analysis increasingly looks like SEC bias.

Her justification for ranking Alabama No. 6, ahead of IU, is equally questionable. She points to Alabama’s wins over Kentucky and Mississippi State while ignoring that ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) ranks Nebraska and Northwestern in the top 20, whereas Kentucky and Mississippi State fall in the 21–30 range. That context seriously undermines her argument.

Even more telling, IU ranks No. 2 nationally in Strength of Record (SOR), behind only Georgia. For those unfamiliar with SOR, it measures how impressive a team’s win-loss record is relative to its schedule. It’s a significant data point that Dinich’s analysis seems to overlook entirely.
