MadAboutIndiana Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Kelvin is a fine coach in his own right. But his style of "saving kids" just didn't fit at a powerhouse school. CrossboneIU22 and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

He's got Houston on the rise and there is room in an AAC conference with space and potential. Good offensive coach. Though his choice of timeouts never made sense to me. FAR FAR worse recruits than someone like Tim Priller. Why? Those kids were NOT college students. They all played at Indiana, not for Indiana. ALASKA HOOSIER, LIHoosier, Tom White and 1 other 4 Quote

Priller doesn't really play for Indiana either. I wouldn't call any recruit a mistake. Some just don't turn out. Doesn't mean they aren't good players or didn't have the potential to be good. Hollowell had loads of potential and looked good his freshman year. IMO he was greatly misused. Crean wanted another Watford but that wasn't Hollowell. There was also ZERO leadership to be found anywhere in the program. Coaches or players. I wouldn't consider Stan a mistake. Kid was a tough nosed defender but couldn't shoot. Was Luke Fischer a mistake? Hollowell and Stan at least stayed 2 seasons. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
