Stuhoo Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I fully understand the logic that it will make the team better, but I don't buy that a senior Troy wouldn't have been a net plus. IUsafety, Str8Hoosiers, VO5 and 4 others 7 Quote

Never Daunted Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Don't think it's the right decision, but he was the one who was talking with scouts and teams, not us. I wish him the best, definitely hope he succeeds! mamasa, Class of '66 Old Fart, IUsafety and 3 others 6 Quote

If it WAS he would be coming back nothing about his combine would indicate he should stay in the draft so for him the choice was already made And nothing wrong with that just man up and let people know. Thomas Bryant made his decision possibly prematurely and what did he do he announced it Yup, Troy owes it to everyone to meet your standards when making his own life choices. You're making assumptions you can't possibly support. Do you know what NBA coaches may have said to him in private? Dalton26 and mamasa 2 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Like Boo said. When a player makes up their mind that they are ready. They ARE ready. I get this. I don't fault Troy for it either. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mamasa, IUsafety, HoosierAloha and 2 others 5 Quote
Popular Post WayneFleekHoosier Posted May 25, 2016 Popular Post Posted May 25, 2016 Dakich seems to think its best for all. OG, TB, Juwan are very coachable. Freddie is said to be too. That's very important. We need JB to be playing for wins and not an NBA audition. If so, we will be very very good. Walking Boot of Doom Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I'll say this, I think Troy is a huge asset to the team. I'm also not exactly upset to see him go. Especially with a degree. I think we have the right pieces to step up and fill his void. mamasa, Dalton26, WayneFleekHoosier and 2 others 5 Quote

I could have seen Troy and JBJ fighting to get theirs next season. If JBJ buys in ,like Yogi did last season, to winning and leading instead of auditioning this will be a really good team. It's crazy to think but if they would play like frosh TB they would get the team and themselves to where they want to go. Good luck to Troy, really hope another coach can get the best out of Troy's God given abilities. If they can he can make a great living by helping a team win. Popular Post VO5 Posted May 25, 2016 Popular Post Posted May 25, 2016 Whether I agree or not with this decision, really hoping Troy catches on somewhere and carves out a niche for a team. It's always cool seeing Hoosiers in the NBA. mamasa, HoosierHoops1, IUsafety and 5 others 8 Quote
Trish Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I wish Troy the very best overseas! If you told Tom Crean eight weeks ago that he'd only lose one of the four players above, he'd have probably wrapped you in a bear hug. Thomas Bryant passed on the chance to be a first-round pick this year in hopes of emerging as a lottery pick next year. O.G. Anunoby didn't even flirt with turning pro even though he'd flashed enough raw potential to be a potential second-round flier. And James Blackmon wisely came back as well rather than risking going undrafted this June. The lone underclassman staying in the draft is Troy Williams, an undeniably talented wing who hasn't put it all together yet. Someone may select Williams in the second round because of his physical tools, but his wayward shot selection, frequent turnovers and inconsistency may also land him in the D-League next season. -YAHOO Class of '66 Old Fart and Stuhoo 2 Quote

Troy Williams is a hard guy to leave off the court. There is SOoooooo much more that goes into his playing time than Boo's pipeline. Cream was coaching for his life. He knew he needed to win. He clearly thought Troy gave him his best chance. Also, we all noticed that Troy's PT was cutback last season in games with bad Troy. Mom Williams didn't like it too much. Anyway... Let's not pretend to know the intricacies of this one, of which I'm sure there are plenty. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mamasa, Class of '66 Old Fart, ThompsonHoosier and 3 others 6 Quote
