Walking Boot of Doom Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Yeah, if anything that interview sounded pro Kansas. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appNo offense Wayne, but I don’t think you’ve ever really read or listened to anything about any recruits that’s ever made you think it was pro-IU. Bailey7878 Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 If you ask me, when you’re on a message board and someone who lives in the same geographic area as a prime recruit drops a piece of potential insider information, you take it for what it’s worth, and are very thankful that it was shared.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appI did take it for what it's worth. About as much as all the garland secret inside info.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appThat's fair, I understand that. But mostly my judgement has been correct. I got swept up in the Garland/Langford hype. I honestly thought we were going to get both until the the final week. Langford I haven't given up all hope. There are some signs remaining we could win out. I have my reasons for doubt, but not entirely off the hope train. In general, since the Vonleh/Williams class we have whiffed on high rated recruits. Thomas Bryant was a fun one to follow and I think the Syracuse scandal helped us win that one.Archie gives me more hope as his 4 star success rate was impressive. We have the staff to win 5 stars. Just a matter of seeing it happen to believe it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app MikeRoberts, ALASKA HOOSIER, Iugradman and 2 others 5 Quote

If he wants the best chance to win a title and play with a buddy he will go to Kansas, if he wants to play with his buddy without much pressure he will go to vandy, and if he wants to be the guy and stay home he will go to IU. TheWatShot Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 If by "automatic championship" he means "losing to a double digit seed the first weekend" then he's right, I could totally see Self botching that. Bailey7878, IUsafety and Iugradman 3 Quote

Stuhoo Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Just gonna throw this out there: Right now we only have three guards on next year's roster (Durham, Green, and Phinisee). Romeo would be guard #4. If not Romeo, shouldn't we have been hearing about IU interest in recruiting another 2018 guard by now? If we don't get Romeo then I fully expect our last 2 scholarships to go to grad transfers for next year. So I'm not surprised they haven't offered anyone else. VO5 1 Quote
