(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

That's my point.

He needs a team.

Literally every good player needs a team around him. It doesn't matter how good you are individually, you need a good coach and team around you. Look at Fultz and Simmons the last two years.

Look at the NBA, there's a reason stars want to play with other stars, because they know they can't do it on their own.

I don't think anybody was thinking IU was a one piece puzzle for 2018, and Langford alone was the solution.

A couple tidbits. Romeo retweeted about Williams visiting him but not about Miller talking to him.

The stories that I hear, is that his mom likes IU, much more than Romeo does. She values education and things like that.

Romeo is in a school with a bunch of kids that are on the wagons of the "sexy" schools like UK, UofL, Duke, UNC. Romeo is feeling the appeal of that and the NBA. He's a humble kid but he likes the spotlight. I just don't think he sees IU the same way that some other kids might. Miller needs time to make us a "brand" again.

That has been my feeling with him as well. Archie is doing things right so far though. Ol Ty Rogers has gotten several compliments on his videos of Duke. Archie is trying to do the same and social media is a great start. I know most won't like this but HH needs a big rapper or entertainer to emcee or perform. That kind of stuff is what kids are looking for nowadays. Crean's HH's were always boring weren't put together right.

Romeo does like Vandy and UNC is gonna appeal to any kid right now, but give it time and that will wear off. They have 2 or 3 guards already for next year which could be helpful for them. Were gonna need to use our schollys smart since we will have 5-7. A grad guy or two and maybe a transfer who sits out and 3-5 freshmen. The sooner we can lock some kids up the better for our chances at Romeo. I still think it is a long shot, but kids we have had good shots with lately haven't even came, so maybe the long shot route is a good thing

“Indiana was already in the mix,” Tim Langford said. “They just made a coaching change. That happens. They are still in the mix.”

I know it's a highlight reel, but is this kid smooth and make it look easy, or what?

Important quote IMO because from outward appearances we were still in the starting block while everyone else was already 200 meters down the track.  Go Archie Go!

Yeah, bhaggard89 posted something awhile back in this thread from Jerry Meyer that we weren't in the picture or something..
