Capt. Crimson Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 Only problem is it makes for a really long season. By the time you get to tourney time not sure you are playing your best basketball. I think, it hurt Purdue this year. Might be nice to get more time out of Romeo though! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Chris007 and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

rebelcc Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 Yeah I definitely wasn't implying anything about their job security. Glass laid out what he wants to see in our program and his man delivered a huge part of that in 1 year...I'm sure he is ecstatic. CSP 1 Quote

I hope UK talks it up and he hangs a 50 pt mcGinness like performance. Unlikely as Kentucky is annually outmatched. Didn’t see the date of quote below, but a UK writer summed it up. That brings us to the losing bottom line of the series, at least on the boys’ side. Indiana has swept Kentucky seven years in a row, won 31 of the last 34 games and leads the 75-year-old series 92-42 Tom White, Btownclouds, HooHooHoo22 and 8 others 11 Quote

I think, it hurt Purdue this year. True — but we have a lot of depth now so we could spread the minutes around on a brief summer tour. Plus we could limit the extra number of games and even keep close by such as in Canada again. I would love to eliminate those early losses like to ISU and IPFW and get a great start out of the gate in the Big Ten. Plus as a fan—I selfishly want to get the season started and enjoy every minute of Romeo while we have him. So—007 do you know if Archie has done these overseas trips in the past at Dayton or is he not a fan of them?Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 I guess I'm an outlier on this topic, but I think it's best if they stay in Bloomington. Much more focused time for the 4 new freshmen to start getting adapted to Archie's style and become familiar with their new teammates. You take a trip and there's time lost to travel and obligatory sightseeing. Yes, they'll have games against a true opponent but to me that doesn't outweigh what I think are greater benefits by staying home. mdn82 1 Quote

He wore No. 1 at New Albany (which is taken by Durham) and No. 22 during his AAU days (which is taken by Moore). ... So he can grab No. 2. And by doing so, what better way to pay homage to Josh Newkirk? LOL! BtownBanner6, HooHooHoo22, CSP and 7 others 10 Quote
