Nick_Bragg13 Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 It’s Wilkes all over again. He strung IU fans along, giving us hope, even though we were long out of the running. Please do us all a favor and log off. If you get this butthurt over a 18 year old kid possibly choosing a different to play basketball at instead of Indiana you need help my friend. Popular Post Nick_Bragg13 Posted February 18, 2018 Popular Post Posted February 18, 2018 Some of you are sickening. He “strung people along” what????? Clearly you don’t get how recruiting works. You start with a certain list of schools, you cut it down, and then you pick from a list of your final 3 or 5 or whatever your preference. So just because this kid is gonna pick Vanderbilt as HIS AND HIS FAMILIES choice of school for him to play at he strung Indiana people along? No. He’s a great kid that comes from a great family that might play basketball next year at Vanderbilt, Indiana, or Kansas so just shut up and let it play out. It’s gross what some of you grown adults say on here Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Capt. Crimson, thebigweave, moyemayhem and 6 others 9 Quote

HoosierAloha Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 Fair enough on the FBI portion. It speaks to a lot of top players, but doesn’t say all. I would venture to say there are players less willing to play that game as well as schools/agents until this gets settled. It was more of a Wild West in the 80s and 90s. Since the one and done rule went into effect it really came back. I wouldn’t say all programs are clean, ever. But should we be cynical for every top player without looking at the obvious? UL was there because they were his hometown school that was a top school with a hall of fame coach. If he asked for money would he have got it there? I think so. Did they have to offer him money to go there? I don’t think so. It’s convenient for him and his family if he went there. Would he have got extra benefits there not related to his recruitment? Probably as well. I think there is a group of people here casting a wide net that doesn’t fit. If it’s just money as the determining factor he will end up in Lawrence. They are having a down year and are gearing up for a title run. They have more to gain than anyone. If he goes there, ok I would have question. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appUL would have been a fantastic "business decision" for Romeo. A lot easier to look business decision-y. TheWatShot Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 I think mom and dad want IU, but Romeo wants Vandy. Archie is all business, which mom and dad prefer. Drewfus is flash and flair, and Romeo, like many kids these days, is more drawn to that. KDB, tortex28, thebigweave and 3 others 6 Quote

Game. Set. Match. For some reason this post reminded me of the Eric Bledsoe ordeal at pUKe. I get pUKe isn't exactly a prestigious school, far from it, I'd be shocked if Bledsoe could spell ACT if you spotted him the A and the T there's no chance he could pass one. People on the outside talk all the time about how crazy Indiana’s fan base is, and sometimes they talk about it in a negative way, there’s some of your negatives right there. I was fired up reading some of those. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app IUBBFan1970 1 Quote

I would be willing to wager that unnamed source that isn’t true. If he were dumb enough to take me up on that I would say Tim Priller. If he wants 5* I would say Cody Zeller. Generalizations are dangerous and are what started this dialogue. Even if it’s 95% it’s still not all and it is nowhere close to that.
