Bailey7878 Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 In my opinion they could easily be a tourney team without him next year. Going deep in the tourney might be a different story but honestly it doesn’t take much to be a tourney team anymore. Look at the rosters of the last 4 teams in the tournament the last 5 years. Last year Vandy made it in at 19-15. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appI don't see it.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Iugradman and drewheck 2 Quote
Bailey7878 Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 True. Louisville and Kentucky have blown us out of the water over the last 15 years. We have been down so long I don’t know if we ever recover. I don’t blame the coaches. I blame the ADs who hired the coaches and allowed them to run our program into the ground.A lot of hype on miller and alot of hype on every coach we've hired. I was glad to get rid of crean but Miller's never won at this level. We won't know for a few years he could be great or could be another bust. Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Iugradman 1 Quote
Popular Post Walking Boot of Doom Posted December 12, 2017 Popular Post Posted December 12, 2017 IU refuses to be bold and get a big name coach. Walking Boot of Doom Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Some people can’t take brutally honest assesments of the IU athletics department. That’s why the snowflakes on Peegs whine to the mods about my posts.I’d love to read some intelligible assessments with arguments supported by facts.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app thebigweave, HinnyHoosier, mdn82 and 1 other 4 Quote
Uspshoosier Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I don't see it.Sent from my SM-J700T using TapatalkI do even if we are talking about a team that is a year away from taking the court. Even without knowing who will be on the team or which player has made significant jumps they can still make the tourney. I’ve watched South Florida, Bosie St, La Salle, St Mary’s, kanas st(8-10 in big 12), Vandy, Wake,Iowa(lost 6 of their last 7 games) and Tulsa all earn at-large bids to the tourney in the last 6 years. I’m confident that IU would have just as much talent next year then some on those teams that have earned a bid in years past. HoosierCoop Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 You know....we have no idea how this is going to land whether positive or negative. You can't sit here and believe that the house is going to cave in if we don't land this kid. If we do, there is a tremendous upside for our program that I hope will lead to other things. So far, I love our recruiting class and I think we have a bright future in recruiting. In a society of instant gratification, you will have to look elsewhere because this one will take time. Somehow, i rest at night more assuredly knowing that Archie has this under control. I don't like the roller coaster that IU basketball has been on the last few years but I will root for no other team! reconmkd, SlamaJamaSisley, ALASKA HOOSIER and 1 other 4 Quote

I guess another false rumor. Bossi is from Kansas City and I believe I read went to Kansas. Also from Rabby on the other site, he said that it sounds like Bossi got his info from Drew who is telling people that Vandy & KU are out in front of IU. Self could have had a bad home visit but they are the top Adidas school. MIUGA 1 Quote

Magnanimous Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 We're the same team in 2019-20 whether he comes or not. Will be nice to get some momentum for the program through a commitment from him, but people shouldn't get too worked up about his decision. Two-year 5* players like Zeller, Bryant, and Gary Harris who are fringe first rounders out of hs are more valuable. pumpfake, CR3AMnCR1MS0N, thebigweave and 2 others 4 1 Quote

One-and-dones are fine if they are added to a solid base of upperclassmen. Otherwise, they have the potential to be disruptive to the stability and growth of the program. bigrod 1 Quote

And in this particular case it seems more risky since you're courting a player and family who prefer things be kept tight-lipped. Of course we'll never know what Bryce Drew has said to Bossi, but that makes Drew look less intelligent oh my eyes. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

pumpfake Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I have to wonder if Bryce Drew has picked up some of brother Scott's "dirty" negative recruiting tricks. I seem to recall Scott doing something that angered RMK when he was still at TT. Quote

I think the incident with Knight involved making some kind of flyer or poster for recruit(s) that had some derogatory stuff about TT. I guess it's all part of the game, but how much and how far a coach goes with it is telling. (I suspect having Garland list IU as 3rd or 4th on his list when he announced might have been Drew's idea - just my suspicion). WayneFleekHoosier and HinnyHoosier 2 Quote

It's amazing with all the attention on Baylor football that someone hasn't uncovered something big over there with Drew. He did get away with this one. Quote
