Vanderbilt is a great school in a great town.  Drew has some buzz going on there.  It is only 2.5 hours from Louisville (for his parents to attend games).  They are not one of the huge shoe company contract teams, and just don't strike me as a shady school, and so I'm not about to jump to that conclusion.  

That said, IU is better.  Just a better program, great coaches, better history.  Very, very good college town.  Bigger stage.  For now, we have room for both, but possibly not for long.

Romeo is a quiet kid and I don't really have a feel for what he wants.  Everyone is inserting his parents into the equation quite a bit, which is fine.  But I'm not about to put them in the same conversation as Waters' dad or Lavar Ball.  They don't seem to be looking to profit off all this, just looking for the best situation for their kid.

I think there's a better chance of them both going to Vandy then the both of them going to IU. I think Vandy is 1st for Garland for sure

If DeRon, Juwan, and Clifton all have excellent years and stay that would be huge.

Vandy is a Nike school Romeo is not going there. I think people might be confused about his mom too. Garland's mom works at Vandy so she would be wearing Vandy stuff.

I would really hope she is satellite/web staff for Vandy, that commute would be horrendous! New Albany to Nashville down 65, just shoot me now!

I will be shocked (!) if Romeo ends up at a school not represented by Adidas. (KU, Hooker U, and us)

I'm not sure where Garland will end up. If he makes it to HH WITH Romeo there we'll be in it to the end. I could see him playing at Vandy for a year or two but I could also see the pull, from his dad, to do something special at IU.

On a side note, I'm not sure I could be the BMOC where a parent worked. Having an aunt who taught at my high school was bad enough.

My feeling is we probably won't get Garland. The question is how much of an effect this will be on Romeo's decision. My bet would be Garland going to Vanderbilt. I feel much better about our chances. I feel like he like Miller so far but he just has questions about his coaching style.

Ok I just wanted to know if it was just conjecture. I feel like this is the big reason Garland could end up at Vanderbilt. I really hope this isn't the main determination as to where Romeo goes.

If Romeo doesn't end up at an Adidas school I'll be shocked. I also wouldn't be surprised if Adidas stepped in to make sure he ends up at, KU, U of L, or IU. They were however part of the reason that Schilling left UCLA and came to IU after Adidas made the switch to Under Armour. I know some of you think that the Langford's are above that but there is nothing wrong with Adidas making sure Romeo knows that he'll gets a huge shoe deal after his 1 and done season in school if he goes to an Adidas school. PS: I know everyone talks about Romeo playing for an Adidas AAU team but New Albany also wears Adidas shoes and Uniforms. Coincidence? I don't think so.
