It's not just Bielfeldt that should be able to stretch em out at the 4. Hartman can shoot the 3 just as well and if he starts the game out at PF. I'm just as ok with that. I also agree instead of being afraid of Hammons, I say we attack him and try to get him into foul trouble. As much as I hate Troy having the ball. If Swanigan is guarding him, ISOLATION. Yogi, get the shot back, play like Yogi playing what could be his final game against Purdue. Z3 and Rojo, play your game. Juwan, OG, get used to kicking Purdouche's ass because over the next 4 years it better happen A LOT. POTFB and Go Hoosiers

I agree with the full court press against them. Can you imagine how worn out the Purdue big boys would be? That would mean they would have to be all over the court on offense to help out the guards, not just camping out down low. Plus, the PU guards would be gassed as well.

I like the idea, but doubt we see it this year with our lack of guard depth. I am a firm believer in showing multiple defenses. Plus, even a soft press takes out 5-7 secs off the shot clock.

Like a well tuned orchestra , ALL instruments must be at their best to put on a winning performance!

AJ Hammons is averaging 18 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5 blocks a game in his career against Indiana. Last year we were basically throwing it to him and seeing how far he could hit it. He doesn't kill us on the boards. His best rebounding game was 7 boards in 13-14. Last year he had 8 blocks at PU. He scored 30 in his freshman year at Purdue and had 20 last year in Bloomington. So for the game IMO will revolve around 2 people. AJ Hammons and Troy Williams. Both are quite the wildcards.

Interesting stat...

Team               FTA/GM         (Home)         (AWAY)    Difference

pu                    20.7               24.5               15.3           +9.2

IU                    19.8                20.9               18.5           +2.4

I guess the "Hall of Calls" hasn't been living up to its billing.

A zombie walked into his local butcher's shop looking for brains.  The selection behind the counter was IU brains, Purdoo brains, and Butler brains.  IU brains were $5/pound, Butler was $7/lb, Purdoo was $25/lb.

The zombie was confused, IU brains were the best of them all!  Why would they be the cheapest?

"Stupid zombie" the butcher said.  "Do you understand how many Purdoo students it takes to get a pound of brains?"

The crowd at Texas A&M's Gameday is embarassing. Should have been at IU

Same thing with Notre Dame a few weeks ago.  There were a few hundred reasonably excited people in the stands for GameDay, and they probably mistakenly thought it was a football event.
