Indiana v. Iowa - Game thread - Feb. 11, 2100 EST on ESPN

Guys...

Has anybody thought that IOWA might be scared of us too?

Opponents do not fare well at AH.

Who do they guard in our offensive arensal?  Are we going to bring the team that buried Illinois, Ohio St., Northwestern, and MIchigan?

If we bring that type of game again...lights out Iowa.

That's what I'm hoping for.  My beer mug is half full......for a little while.

Their fans certainly are not at all afraid of us. I've been reading their boards some, they think it will be a close win at the worst, blow-out at best. They consider Maryland the only other contender for Big Ten Title and expect us to go 3-4 in this final stretch.

There is zero reason for them to be nervous about this. We need the game a lot more than they do. They've already won at MSU and at Purdue, so they have a lot less to prove. They also came in here a year ago and spanked us.

I think both teams play loose tonight. I don't see us being scared of them or what they did to us last year. Different team. Plus we are at home where we play loose.

Lot of comments about NCAA seeding, past years, Crean etc but I am just compartalizing this to tonight's game and....
Cannot wait for the game to start.
Would LOVE to be in the hall tonight.
Please , please get off to a good start.
Hopefully "good Troy", decent D and not rushing shots shows up tonight.

Also...... Let's hope the FL/Cuse game ends by 9. Tired of ESPN getting to the second game late.

Look for Iowa to get TB in foul trouble early. Thats an easy recipe for success. Next, they will let Yogi get early outside looks, not play him tight to avoid his penetration, and hope he has a scorers mentality tonight. If he doesnt facilitate we are in trouble. Plus, if we run the Harlem Globetrotters shuffle out front it won't be good.

To have success against this Iowa team, we should press their point after every made basket and trap in the corners every time the ball goes there. If we can get Bryant good looks early, the D will have to collapse and this will give us good 3 looks. If Iowa makes a semi decent run early, call a damn timeout before it could get out of hand. If a player gets hot, leave him in the game. We have a big opportunity tonight to earn major respect. Lets do this!
