We really need Davis. Kegler would have been nice and we can get a great guard later---but there are only so many BIG guys around and we put so much into this recruitment.  I still believe it will be a Hoosier Day tomorrow!

I guess that's the thing I'm a little concerned about getting up or down. DD is a great addition....but not one and done material so I'm not sure it's meltdown worthy.

I guess the Noah Vonleh recruitment has changed my mind a bit. We didn't start watching him until the final 90 days and we pulled him in. If we miss...I expect our staff to be pissed for 30 minutes and start hitting the phones tonight at 5:32 EST.

There will be plenty of talent waiting till the spring for us to pull, but recent trends have shown our spring recruitment can be a bit scary.

Hes going to be a solid player for 3 years, that we have made a priority.  At this point losing Davis is less about losing a good player and more an indictment of our ability to recruit. 

 

And the Vonleh recruitment was very different.

There have been zero flips from Indiana to MSU in the Crystal Ball over the course of De'Ron's recruitment. Not even hedge flips during his MSU official visit. Given the flippant nature of the analyst making picks on there, this is pretty telling IMO. The only two picks for MSU came last week from two MSU analysts. Hope we land this kid, he would be a great piece to have next to Bryant competing with Morgan and OG next year.
